  • Publication number: 20230145107
Abstract: A knife has a handle that is fastened to the knife blade and that has a first recess that opens towards the handle end and is closed by an end cap or end disc which lies in or abuts on the recess. The rear side of the end cap/end disc has at least two tongues molded thereon parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle and which project into a longitudinal recess which starts from the first recess and projects inwardly in the direction of the knife blade. The inner wall of the longitudinal recess has longitudinal ribs that are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle and jut out from opposite wall sides. • Publication number: 20120246946
Abstract: A knife includes a metal blade having an integral tang, the tang having a tang end and being a flat bar shaped to carry a handle, a plastic handle having an handle end defining a well surrounding the tang end, and a metal end cap comprising an integrally formed plug section. The metal end cap is attached at the handle end to positively fit the plug section in the well. The plug section has a plug end facing the tang end and defining a recess in which the plug section encloses the tang end in a positive fit. Also provided is a method for fixing the metal end cap in the plastic well at the handle end of the knife which comprises the step of exciting the metal end cap with ultrasonic energy while inserting the metal end cap into the well to thereby plasticate the plastic in the handle.

  • Publication number: 20070126259
Abstract: The invention relates to a unit carrier (1) for a motor vehicle door, with at least one fixing section for a door lock (3) and fixing points for securing the unit carrier to a motor vehicle door, wherein the door lock can be connected by a lock holding angle (4) to the unit carrier. According to the invention a snap-in connection is provided between the lock holding angle (4) and the unit carrier (1) so that the lock holding angle (4) can be secured by means of a catch mechanism to the unit carrier (1). Consequently the assembly work in securing the door lock (3) to the unit carrier (1) is considerably reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060119114
Abstract: The invention relates to a door inner element (1) made of plastic for a motor vehicle door which has a windowpane that can be raised and lowered, having an outer side, an inner side, an opening (3), leading from the inner side to the outer side, for passing through a force transmission element (4), used to actuate a door lock, in the form of a Bowden cable or an actuating rod. In order to prevent unauthorized unlocking of the door lock from the outside using a manipulation tool, a cover (9) is assigned to the force transmission element (4) as a break-in safeguard. The cover (9) is molded in one piece onto the outer side of the door inner element (1). The single FIGURE is intended for the abstract.
