  • Patent number: 7225638
Abstract: A jewelry mounting includes a base having front and rear surfaces. The front surface is provided with means permitting the mounting of an article of jewelry or other ornament usable on an earring or pendant. The rear surface includes a pivotable mounting for an ear post. The base also includes side walls to which are pivotably mounted two hoops. When the device is being used as an earring, the hoops lie in opposite directions to one another coplanar with the base. When the device is being used as a jewelry pendant, the hoops are pivoted orthogonal to the base and, in that orientation, comprise bails through which a jewelry chain may be threaded. The piece of jewelry or ornament may include a rear surface including a slot that receives the ear post when the ear post is pivoted down. The slot frictionally retains an end of the ear post to retain the ear post and hoops in the position at which the device may be used as a pendant.

  • Patent number: 6845640
Abstract: A quick-release lockable long gun case encloses the breech, trigger guard and trigger of a long gun allowing the barrel and stock to protrude through oppositely disposed openings. A keypad may be preprogrammed with a combination that must be entered to allow access to the long gun. A key operated override mechanism is also provided. An internal chamber contains a removable insert having the outer configuration conforming to the breech, trigger guard and trigger of the long gun. The lid is hinged to the body with a spring biasing the lid in the direction of opening. The latch mechanism includes a strike attached to the lid of the long gun case and a latch mounted within the body of the long gun case. The latch is pivotable and has upper and lower structures that are balanced about the pivot point thereof.

  • Patent number: 5161396
Abstract: Disclosed is a tamper proof lockable firearm case having an internal chamber sized and configured to store a firearm. The case has a door which may be opened responsive to unlocking a computer controlled lock. The lock actuator consists of depressions in the case corresponding to fingers of the user's hand, with each depression having an actuator button. Depressing a sequence of buttons including simultaneous and sequential depressions in a pre-programmed sequence results in unlocking of the case and opening of the door to allow access to the firearm. A key lock is also provided in the event of battery failure.
