  • Patent number: 11975911
Abstract: An insulation core made of at least one of pressed straw or hay, wherein the insulation core is geometrically defined and stable in shape, the shape retention of the insulation core given by the stochastic distribution and form of stalks of the at least one of pressed straw or hay, and fibers of stalks of the at least one of pressed straw or hay remain undissolved within the natural structure of the stalks; and a covering that covers the insulation core on all sides and is predominantly connected by form-locking to the insulation core, and that the density of the insulation packaging is between 40 kg\m3 and 250 kg\m3.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 6, 2021
Date of Patent: May 7, 2024
    Assignee: LANDPACK GMBH

  • Patent number: 11124353
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an insulating packaging for thermal insulation and/or shock absorption, and a packaging of this type. According to the invention, straw or hay or a mixture of the two is plasticized; the plasticized straw and/or hay is subjected to moulding; while maintaining the moulding, the plasticization is reversed and the straw and/or hay is hardened without material bonding between the individual stalks of straw and/or hay; and the straw and/or hay is provided with a coating on all sides.
