  • Patent number: 11529658
Abstract: A pneumatically driven fluid pump apparatus is disclosed which includes a pump casing having an inner wall, a pump cap secured at a first end of the pump casing, and a liquid discharge tube in communication with the pump cap and extending at least partially within an interior area of the pump casing toward a second end of the pump casing, and where fluid is admitted into the pump casing at the second end. The pump cap has an airflow inlet for receiving a pressurized airflow from an external pressurized air source, which helps displace liquid collecting within the pump casing upwardly through the liquid discharge tube. A flow channeling subsystem is in communication with the airflow inlet and directs the pressurized airflow towards the inner wall of the pump casing to create a swirling airflow within the pump casing that extends along at least portions of the inner wall.

  • Publication number: 20220231397
Abstract: A mechanical means for deploying one of two or more feed sources within a test range is presented. The feed source selected for testing is properly positioned for use within the range by rotating one of two or more arms to an upright and locked position. An arm may further include a rotatable antenna wheel with two or more feed sources thereon whereby a selected feed source is rotated into position via the antenna wheel. The antenna wheel includes a center body, feed sources attached to the center body and aligned along a rotational plane, and a shroud disposed about the center body and feed sources. The antenna wheel may include a cooling system for managing heat generated by the feed sources and electronics therefore. In preferred embodiments, the feed source changer is mounted within the range so that a selected feed source communicates an emitted beam onto a reflector which is redirected as a reflected beam toward a device under test.

  • Publication number: 20200309114
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pneumatically driven fluid pump apparatus having an outer pump housing for collecting liquid to be pumped, and a valve assembly in communication with liquid admitted through an inlet end of the outer pump housing and collecting within the outer pump housing. The valve assembly includes a housing assembly and a poppet valve assembly disposed within the housing assembly to act as a one-way check valve when pumping collected liquid out from the outer pump housing. The poppet valve assembly includes a poppet valve component including a relief area that helps to depressurize an interior area of the valve assembly, to facilitate rapid movement of the poppet valve element from an open position toward a closed position, when only a pressurized fluid flow being used to eject the collected liquid is flowing past the poppet valve component.

  • Patent number: 8117874
Abstract: A device to protect an article from theft is disclosed. The device includes a pointed pin member to enable attachment of the device to the article to be protected from theft. A housing disposed within the device includes a floor and a wall tapering towards a confining end. The housing includes coaxial openings for insertably receiving the pin member. A ball clutch mechanism is located within the housing and includes a plurality of balls. As the balls are urged towards the confining end of the housing, they wedge between the tapering wall and the pin member to apply increasing radial pressure against the pin member to prevent it from being withdrawn from the device. The floor includes a member which deflects downwardly upon insertion of the pin member into the housing to apply a radial force against the pin member to frictionally engage it within the device.

  • Publication number: 20050165720
Abstract: A modular assembly of software is configured to perform a particular function. The modular assembly includes a plurality of atoms. Each of the plurality of atoms is designed to execute a defined task. The modular assembly also includes a plurality of maps that invoke a portion of the plurality of atoms allowing for the execution of events that include a portion of the defined task. The modular assembly also includes a map engine that is in communication with each of the plurality of maps. The map engine coordinates an order and timing for the starting of each of the plurality of maps wherein the map engine modifies the order and the timing based on the inputs and variables received thereby before and during the operation of the plurality of maps. Each of the plurality of atoms are defined sets of code, e.g., objects. These atoms each include a design element classifying a type of executable, identifying inputs required to operate the executable and identifying a purpose of the atom.
