  • Publication number: 20080020712
Abstract: This invention relates to fault detection in electrical circuits, in particular it relates to fault detection for a plurality of adjacent input circuits. The invention provides a method and apparatus for detecting a control or communication fault on an analogue circuit by digitally simulating said analogue circuit; driving the digitally simulated circuit with a control input also used to drive said analogue circuit; and comparing an output of said simulated circuit with a reference output and setting an error condition in the event that the compared outputs differ.

  • Publication number: 20070277067
Abstract: This invention relates to fault detection in electrical circuits. The invention provides a method and apparatus for testing an input circuit by generating a periodic test signal having a predetermined phase and a predetermined amplitude; summing the test signal and an input signal to provide a summed signal; processing the summed signal to provide an output signal; generating an extracted test signal from the output signal; comparing the extracted test signal with a reference signal representing said periodic test signal; generating an error signal in dependence upon the result of said comparing step. The invention also provides a method and apparatus for testing a plurality of adjacent input circuits.

  • Patent number: 6194246
Abstract: A process for fabricating an electronic module (30) and a packaged electronic device (56) having a thermally conductive substrate includes the step of thermally spraying of a dielectric layer (12) onto a baseplate (10). An electrically conductive layer (18) is then direct bonded to the thermally sprayed dielectric layer. The thermally sprayed dielectric layer can be formed at selected locations on the upper surface of the baseplate (10) by forming a pattern on the upper surface prior to carrying out the thermal spraying process. The electrically conductive layer (18) is patterned to form an interconnect pattern overlying the baseplate. Because the thermal spraying process can form extremely thin dielectric layers, an electronic module (30) fabricated in accordance with the invention exhibits high heat transfer characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4097139
Abstract: A reproducing machine in which a member has successive latent images recorded thereon. The reproducing machine includes a pair of developer units. One developer unit is located in the operative position in the reproducing machine with the other unit being remote therefrom. Each developer unit contains different colored particles. Color changes are achieved by interchanging developer units to develop one latent image with particles of one color and the other latent image with particles of the other color.

  • Patent number: 3970381
Abstract: Improved stripping of a transfer member (having a developed image thereon) from a photoconductive surface of an electrostatic reproduction machine is effected by charging the lead edge of the member with a first charge, and then charging the body of the member having the developed image thereon with a second charge which is different than the first charge. The second charge has a magnitude and polarity which prevents retransfer of the developed image to the photoconductive surface.
