  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Patent number: 11887482
Abstract: A server device can obtain historical location data, concerning a vehicle, captured by a global positioning system (GPS) device of the vehicle and historical engine control unit (ECU) data concerning the vehicle captured by an ECU of the vehicle. The server device can process the historical location data and the historical ECU data to train a machine learning model to determine a relationship between the historical location data and the historical ECU data. The server device can receive location data and ECU data concerning the vehicle and update the machine learning model based on the location data and the ECU data. The server device can receive real-time location data concerning the vehicle and derive an equivalent real-time ECU speed using the machine learning model. The server device can generate a message regarding the equivalent real-time ECU speed of the vehicle and send the message to a remote device for display.

  • Patent number: 10699497
Abstract: A telematics configuration platform receives telematics device data that specifies hardware and software features associated with a telematics device, and identifies a first set of values for a first set of telematics device parameters. The telematics configuration platform receives user input identifying a particular vehicle type, and identifies a second set of values for a second set of device parameters. The telematics configuration platform generates a telematics device configuration that includes a third set of device parameters including a first parameter from the first set of telematics device parameters and a second parameter from the second set of telematics device parameters, and a third set of values for the third set of device parameters, each corresponding to either a first value in the first set of values or a second value in the second set of values. The telematics configuration platform performs an action based on the telematics device configuration.

  • Patent number: 10640304
Abstract: An apparatus for locating a preform on a mold includes a preform handling tool and a force sensor coupled to the preform handling tool such that the force sensor is capable of sensing forces applied to the preform during handling of the preform by the preform handling tool. The apparatus includes a control device that is arranged and operable to move the preform handling tool relative to the mold. A method of locating the preform on the mold includes picking up the preform using the preform handling tool and placing the preform in a vicinity of the mold. Positions on the mold are mapped with an edge of the preform with the aid of the force sensor. The preform is paced on the mold according to the mapped positions.

  • Patent number: 10638104
Abstract: A device, system and method for generating updated camera-projector correspondences from a reduced set of test patterns is provided. When a predetermined correspondences between projector points and camera points in an initial relative position of a projector and a camera have been previously determined, a recalibration therebetween may occur by projecting a single test pattern derived from the predetermined correspondences to estimate movement therebetween. When the movement is too great to be estimated by a single test pattern, another test pattern may be projected to determine an estimation function for the movement and in particular, estimate movement of one or more camera points in the projected images due to relative movement of the projector and the camera from the initial relative position to a current relative position.

  • Patent number: 10271028
Abstract: A device, system and method for subliminally projecting structured light patterns is provided. A computing device alters at least a portion of a plurality of content bitplanes to subtract a structured light bitplane therefrom, such that pixels of the structured light bitplane and the plurality of content bitplanes, when altered, sum to a same respective brightness as corresponding pixels of the plurality of content bitplanes before alteration. A a projector projects the structured light bitplane and the plurality of content bitplanes having the structured light bitplane subtracted therefrom. A camera captures images of the structured light bitplane as projected by the projector, for example to calibrate the projector.
