  • Patent number: 11439877
Abstract: A golf club head includes a body having a recessed channel formed in the outer surface. A weight assembly that includes a weight disposed within the recessed channel and a cover extending over the recessed channel. A shelf is defined in the cover and slidably receives the weight. The weight assembly also includes a fastener coupling the cover to the body. The fastener is adapted to retain the weight in the recessed channel only indirectly by the cover. The cover is positionable in an unlocked configuration whereby the cover is raised at least partially out of the recessed channel and the weight is slidable within the shelf and the recessed channel, and a locked configuration whereby the cover is disposed within the recessed channel and the weight is secured within the recessed channel and the shelf. The weight moves with the cover between the unlocked configuration and the locked configuration.

  • Patent number: 11439878
Abstract: A golf club head includes a body having an outer surface with a recessed channel formed therein. A weight assembly that includes a weight at least partially disposed within the recessed channel, a cover extending over the recessed channel, and a fastener coupling the cover to the body. The fastener is adapted to retain the weight in the recessed channel only indirectly by the cover. The weight assembly is selectively positionable between at least three configurations: a first configuration where the weight is secured within the recessed channel; a second configuration where the weight is slidable within the recessed channel; and a third configuration where the weight is completely removable from the golf club head. The cover is coupled to the body in all three configurations.

  • Publication number: 20220241655
Abstract: An iron-type golf club head incudes a body, a recessed channel, and a weight assembly. The body includes a striking face, a sole, and a back portion positioned between the sole and the striking face. The striking face includes an upper topline edge and a lower leading edge opposite to the upper topline edge. The recessed channel is formed in the back portion and defines a curved path. The weight assembly includes a weight at least partially disposed within the recessed channel and configured to be positioned in at least a first position on the curved path and at a second position on the curved path. The curved path is defined such that when the weight is moved from the first position to the second position, a first end of the weight is moved closer to the upper topline edge and closer to the striking face.

  • Publication number: 20220040543
Abstract: A golf club head includes a body, a recessed channel, and a weight assembly. The weight assembly has a weight, a cover, and a fastener coupling the cover to the body. The cover includes a first end, a second end, and a rabbet extending at least partially between the first end and the second end. The rabbet formed by at least two walls and sized and shaped to at least partially receive the weight and allow the weight to slide therein. One or more of the at least two walls have a retention rib extending therefrom. The retention rib is elongated in a direction between the first end and the second end and discontinuous in the elongated direction. The fastener is configured to move the cover between at least two positions, a first position whereby the weight is selectively slidable and a second position whereby the weight is secured.

  • Patent number: 11229827
Abstract: A golf club head includes a body having an outer surface and a recessed channel defined in the outer surface of the body. A chamber is defined at one end of the recessed channel. The golf club head also includes a weight assembly having a weight at least partially disposed within the recessed channel and configured to slide therein. A cover having a first end and an opposite second end, the second end including a projection, and a fastener coupling the first end of the cover to the body. The fastener secures the first end of the cover to the body while the projection of the second end of the cover engages with the chamber of the recessed channel to retain a position of the weight within the recessed channel between the first end and the second end of the cover.
