  • Patent number: 6929546
Abstract: An information display system and method is provided for computer-based games and the like, particularly of the type involving multiple participants who may be present at a game site or alternately located at one or more remote sites. The display system and method monitors the status of each participant as a particular game progresses. The system combines the monitored status information for all participants and generates a common information display so that individual participants can view their status relative to other game participants, and thereby assess their individual chances of winning as the game proceeds. The invention is suited for rapid and efficient playing of games of chance or skill in a casino environment or the like, wherein the game can accommodate a large number of participants including “active” participants located at the game site as well as “virtual” participants who may not be present at the game site.

  • Patent number: 6669574
Abstract: A device for training a golfer to putt correctly using the concept of muscle memory having an adjustable width, elongated guide path between parallel guide members mounted on an elongated pad. The pad has a fixed guide member and a laterally movable guide member allowing the golfer to form a lengthwise guide path of proper width to allow a putter head of a given width to be swung along the guide path. The device, thus adjusted, guides the golfer in swinging the putter along a straight line and hitting the ball along a desired path. Vertically spaced electrodes running the length of the respective guide member inner walls sound a buzzer when the head of the putter makes contact with the guide member wall. Lengthwise reference lines are provided along the guide path. Crosswise lines are located on the tops of the guide members.

  • Patent number: 5010530
Abstract: A magnetic coupler and the use of such couplers to place a plurality of etroacoustic transducers around a lengthy single conductor trunk cable is described. The magnetic couplers are used to place the electroacoustic transducers in any randomly selected configuration. They allow the use of a single conductor trunk cable so as to facilitate the deployment of the system at a relatively low cost.

  • Patent number: 5008860
Abstract: A position and velocity determining system, that uses two functioned receiver-transmitters. In performing a first function, each receiver-transmitter transmits an acoustic pulse at a unique frequency, in response to a first received accoustic pulse. In performing a second function, each receiver-transmitter transmits a continuous acoustic signal at a unique frequency, in response to a second received acoustic pulse.
