  • Patent number: 6138761
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for completing a wellbore are disclosed. Certain ones of the apparatus and methods use a first packing assembly, a second packing assembly, and a pressurization assembly disposed between the first and second packing assemblies to plastically deform a liner in a radially outward direction via hydraulic pressure. Another method uses a liner having a first section and a second section, and a packing assembly. The first section is deformable in a radially outward direction at a lower pressure than the second section. The packing assembly is used to plastically deform the first section of the liner in a radially outward direction via hydraulic pressure.

  • Patent number: 4932609
Abstract: Parallel transfer pumps (92, 94) operate to transfer fuel from auxiliary tanks (52, 60, 66) to the main tank (10). A pressure sensor (106) in the pump discharge line in combination with tank level rate mechanisms (86, 88, 90) sequences pumps (92, 92) and transfer valves (100, 102) if required, and confirms successful transfer or alarms when unsuccessful.

  • Patent number: 4471075
Abstract: A process for selectively preparing a mixture of two-carbon atom oxygenated hydrocarbons, namely, acetic acid, ethanol and acetaldehyde, by continuously contacting a gaseous reaction mixture containing hydrogen and carbom monoxide with a solid catalyst comprising rhodium in combination with sodium at reaction conditions correlated so as to favor the formation of a substantial proportion of such two-carbon atom products.

  • Patent number: 4442950
Abstract: A top for initially closing a container, so as to seal same and preserve the contents thereof. The top includes a tab, selectively operable for forming an opening in the top, or for reclosing and resealing, or reopening, such opening. Such selective operation of the tab enables access to the contents of the container, or preservation of or access to the remaining contents of the container, as desired by the user.

  • Patent number: 4235798
Abstract: A process for selectively preparing a mixture of two-carbon atom oxygenated hydrocarbons, namely, acetic acid, ethanol and acetaldehyde, by continuously contacting a gaseous reaction mixture containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide with a solid catalyst comprising rhodium in combination with one or more alkali metals selected from the group consisting of lithium, potassium, cesium and rubidium at reaction conditions correlated so as to favor the formation of a substantial proportion of such two-carbon atom products.
