  • Publication number: 20150308694
Abstract: A cooking hob includes a transparent or semi-transparent top panel and a cooking zone with a pot detector. A user interface is below the top panel and includes touch switches and a touch slide. A light source corresponds with the touch switch and the cooking zone. The light source indicates detection of a pot on the cooking zone by a first light signal during a predetermined time interval and indicates an activated state of the cooking zone by a second light signal and indicates the selected cooking zone and the activated state of the touch slide element by the first light signal. The touch slide is for adjusting the power and/or temperature of the indicated cooking zone within the time interval. The touch switch is for selecting the cooking zone and activating the touch slide. The touch slide is for adjusting the power and/or temperature of the selected cooking zone.

  • Publication number: 20150204639
Abstract: A pellet having an external configuration capable of promoting the aerodynamic and/or terminal (penetration) characteristics of the pellet. The pellet includes a head that defines a projectile tip coinciding with an axis of the pellet, and a raised pattern centered around the projectile tip. The raised pattern comprises a plurality of legs radiating from a center of the raised pattern that coincides with the projectile tip. The raised pattern is defined by at least two tiers that are generally congruent, of different size, and converge at the projectile tip. • Publication number: 20150093985
Abstract: A passive cooling system routes air from an enclosure to an ambient environment, via a chimney effect, through one or more indirect pathways and re-directs environmental elements received from the ambient environment. One or more vanes are arranged within an interior space, such that the vanes collectively form one or more indirect pathways to the ambient environment. The vanes preclude environmental elements, including precipitation and particulate matter, from passing through the interior space and into the enclosure. Environmental elements are re-directed by one or more of the vanes, at least in part, to an exterior of the passive exhaust system. Dampers may be adjusted to control airflow through the passive cooling system and restrict environmental elements from entering the passive cooling system. Liquids received from the ambient environment may be re-directed into a reclamation system for use in a cooling system.

  • Patent number: 8909480
Abstract: A vibrator-coupled ground filter improves seismic data recorded during a seismic operation. This filter is based on a ground model that takes into consideration the vibrator system, the coupling system between the baseplate and captured ground, and the coupled ground system. Using acceleration data from the baseplate and the reaction mass, the ground model can be used to derive particular variables for the ground model to help characterize the system. Using the derived variables in a ground filter, the recorded seismic data can be corrected to remove errors in the trace data produced by typical assumptions.

  • Publication number: 20140158676
Abstract: Provided is a cooktop assembly that includes a generator that produces a high-frequency alternating current and is configured to be coupled to a surface of a cabinet. An adjustable cooking surface with a heating coil is electrically connected to the generator to conduct the high-frequency alternating current produced by the generator and induce an induced current in a cooking vessel supported by the adjustable cooking surface in a cooking orientation. An adjustable coupling pivotally couples the adjustable cooking surface to the generator and supports the adjustable cooking surface at a plurality of different angular orientations relative to the generator.
