  • Publication number: 20120199457
Abstract: A key/display assembly includes first and second switches, a display module, and a lens is disposed adjacent the display module. The lens includes a first contact region, a second contact region, and an inner surface that supports a first foot between the first contact region and the second contact region. A first key is defined by the first switch and the first contact region and is actuated by deflecting the first contact region to actuate the first switch. A second key is defined by the second switch and the second contact region and is actuated by deflecting the second contact region to actuate the second switch. When actuating the first key, the first foot inhibits the second contact region from actuating the second switch. When actuating the second key, the first foot inhibits the first contact region from actuating the first switch.

  • Patent number: 7860119
Abstract: SONET/SDH ring aggregation with distributed traffic. The system may include a packet-switched fabric adapted to switch TDM and PDU over the same fabric. The system provides logical functionality of one or more of SONET/SDH ADMs, fiber patch panels, coax patch panels, DCSs, and packet switches. Integrated management provides management of remote ADMs attached to multiple SONET/SDH rings, even of ADMs manufactured by different vendors. A management system may provide native termination of OSI over DCC and IP over DCC to provide integration of equipment from various vendors.

  • Publication number: 20080053449
Abstract: A patient respiratory mask having a shell and a patient cushion for supplying oxygen during an endoscopic or bronchoscopic procedure. The mask has a first port for accepting an endoscope, a second port for accepting oropharyngeal suction, and an optional third port for carbon dioxide monitoring. The first and second ports are covered by preferably flexible, perforated diaphragms for maintaining the seal integrity during oxygen therapy.

  • Patent number: 4852029
Abstract: An automated method and apparatus for grading pre-cut lumber products according to selected physical properties thereof such as modulus of elasticity (MOE) and modulus of rupture (MOR) are disclosed. A conveyor transports boards to be graded to an automated lumber feeding mechanism which sequentially rotates each board from a loading to a grading position. In the grading position, an impactor impacts one longitudinal end of the board to generate a compression force and a detector at the opposite longitudinal end converts the compression force to an electrical signal. Data acquisition circuitry samples and stores at least one cycle of the signal and a computer analyzes the samples and assigns values to predetermined parameters which characterize the signal. The computer utilizes the parameter values in one or more predetermined formulas which are optimum statistical predictors of the selected physical properties as a function of the parameters to obtain values for the selected physical parameters.

  • Patent number: 4123301
Abstract: Steel casings are heated to above the transformation temperature and then quench hardened to achieve a fully martensitic structure. Thick-walled casings are quenched with an internal-external quench system, the casing passing within an external spray of quenching liquid and about a mandrel and a nozzle that apply a conical spray within the casing. After quenching, the mandrel and nozzle are rapidly and automatically withdrawn from the moving casing in the direction of casing travel. The casing is then moved out of its initial path and the nozzle is returned to within the external quench. Thin-walled casings are quenched with only an external spray directed both toward the casing and in the direction of casing travel when the casing enters the external quench and, prior to entry of the trailing end of the casing into the quench, the spray is directed both toward the casing and in a direction counter to that of casing travel, so quenching liquid is not directed into the ends of the casing.
