Patent number: 8230327Abstract: A system which enables an administrator to conveniently specify statements of a web page description which may require additional processing. The administrator may select from a list of statement types, and a language grammar corresponding to the selected statement type is displayed. The administrator may provide variable data associated with the fields of the displayed language grammar, and a rule instance is created from the language grammar and the variable data. An intermediate server may determine whether each statement of a web page description matches any of the rule instances. If a match is detected, the corresponding statement is determined to potentially require additional processing (such as modification of a URL in a reverse proxy server).Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2003Date of Patent: July 24, 2012Assignee: Oracle America, Inc.Inventors: Nagendra Kumar Raja, Thomas R. Mueller, Sanjib Ghosh

Patent number: 7506070Abstract: A method and system for storing and retrieving extensible multi-dimensional display property configurations. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed for the display of content that is configurable to a variety of contextual environments by reading a plurality of settings that are associated with an electronic device requesting content. The plurality of settings defines the contextual environment of the electronic device. The method continues by incorporating the plurality of settings as values in the list of filter criteria. The list of filter criteria is organized in a hierarchical order and specifies the format within which to present the content to be displayed at the electronic device. Thereafter, the method continues by matching the list of filter criteria with a resource to be displayed with the content. The resource is retrieved from memory for ultimate delivery to the electronic device for display.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2003Date of Patent: March 17, 2009Assignee: Sun Microsytems, Inc.Inventors: Luu D. Tran, Jeffrey T. Blattman, Thomas R. Mueller, Su-Chong Myong

Patent number: 7403104Abstract: A method for monitoring tire pressure of a system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of detecting a signal other than that of an in-use tire pressure signals and in response to the detection of the signal, maintaining the proper reception of the in-use tire pressure signals by a receiver.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2004Date of Patent: July 22, 2008Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Randall J. Robson, Jon P. Gleeson, Thomas R. Mueller

Patent number: 6926552Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing having a cavity and a surface for engaging a window. The connector includes first and second compressible conductive contacts disposed within the cavity of the housing and in electrical contact with circuit elements in a coaxial cable. The compressible conductive contacts are compressed to contact circuit elements formed on the window when the surface of the housing is engaged to the window to provide electrical connections.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2002Date of Patent: August 9, 2005Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Thomas R. Mueller, Randall J. Robson, Martin T. Duane, William R. Livengood

Patent number: 6861991Abstract: An antenna module provides signals received by an antenna to a communication system, such as a vehicle radio, wireless telephony system, or keyless entry system. The antenna module includes antenna circuitry having a terminal. When a compressible contact is compressed, it electrically couples this terminal to another terminal, which is disposed on a surface. A cover disposed over the antenna circuitry compresses the compressible contact when the cover is adhesively mounted to the surface. As a result, the terminals need not be soldered to the glass or other surface. Accordingly, the manufacturing process can be simplified. For example, the antenna module can be installed independently of other manufacturing processes.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2002Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Thomas R. Mueller, Randall J. Robson, Martin T. Duane, William R. Livengood

Publication number: 20040015567Abstract: A wireless portal system has a wireless server with a hierarchical client aware content aggregation method and system. The client aware content aggregation system includes logic for identifying client wireless devices connecting to the wireless server by using particular characteristics of the client in presenting content selected in response to connection requests from the client to the server. In one embodiment of the invention, the client aware content aggregation system receives an indication of a client type and uses this information to automatically search for content from a configurable set of web-sites on the Internet and formats content selected by the end-user for delivery to the client.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 16, 2003Publication date: January 22, 2004Inventors: Gregory J. Patent number: 5463314Abstract: An air core gauge for an instrument cluster includes a permanent magnet armature and field coils energized according to an input parameter determine the position of the armature and a pointer connected to the armature. Terminal pins outboard of the armature carry energizing current to the coils. One of the terminal pins is made of ferrous material to magnetically attract the armature to a rest position when energizing current is off.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1994Date of Patent: October 31, 1995Assignee: Delco Electronics CorporationInventors: Thomas R.
