  • Patent number: 9044291
Abstract: An electric generator powered by the opening and closing of a user's jaw. In one embodiment, a portion of an electric generator is mechanically stressed by a user's teeth when the user opens or closes his jaw. The mechanical stress is converted to electric energy and may be stored in a battery or power an electric device. In another embodiment, a magnet is passed through a coil when the user opens or closes his jaw to generate electric energy.

  • Patent number: 7859469
Abstract: A combined, compact battery holder and antenna apparatus. The combined, compact battery holder and antenna apparatus includes a dielectric battery holder and a conductive antenna element having a radiating arm that is supported by the dielectric battery holder. When mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB), the dielectric battery holder maintains the radiating arm of the conductive antenna element at a constant height above a ground plane on the PCB. The compact, combined battery holder and antenna apparatus may be beneficially adapted and configured for use in a variety of electronic devices including, for example, wireless headsets or headphones, cellular communications devices, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and may be adapted and configured to operate according to various types of wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular wireless technologies.

  • Patent number: 6515627
Abstract: The invention discloses a slot antenna having a pair of orthogonally oriented front and rear reflector panels. In one embodiment, the antenna assembly includes first and second front panels oriented approximately orthogonally to each other, said first and second front panels being coupled together and having a substantially elongate slot defined upon at least a portion of each of the first and second front panels, and first and second rear reflector panels oriented approximately orthogonally to each other, and disposed proximate the first and second front panels, and a feed terminal coupled to one of the first or second front panels, said feed terminal being coupled to an input/output RF connection point. The slot antenna according to the present invention may be disposed within an associated wireless communications device relative to a ground plane element of a printed wiring board, or may be disposed separately away from the associated wireless communications device.
