  • Publication number: 20200314606
Abstract: A cloud-implemented system, device, product, apparatus, and/or method for limiting wetness exposure time in an absorbent garment by providing sensor data from a sensor system including one or more absorbent garments, one or more sensors, and/or one or more processors, and receiving, by a sensor cloud, sensor data associated with one or more sensors. The method for authenticating in response to receiving sensor data, at least one attribute by correlating at least one attribute to data in a sensor cloud, validating a status of an absorbent garment based on sensor data remaining consistent for a measured period of time, and generating an action to limit wetness exposure time in an absorbent garment based on a status of an absorbent garment.

  • Publication number: 20200186843
Abstract: Apparatus and method for improving the bandwidth efficiency of delivering electronic program guide (EPG) data to consumer premises equipment (CPE). In one exemplary embodiment, electronic guide data is rendered by devices away from the CPE, shifting the executing data- and bandwidth-heavy operations away from the CPE. In particular, one or more gateways at the user's home bears the processing, memory, bandwidth load to reduce the inefficiency of delivering redundant information to CPE(s) interfacing with the gateway(s). Using guide data it receives from the cloud, the gateway produces and delivers to the CPE one or more “simple views” of the guide data, including a video stream, still image, or simple HTML or other renderable formats. As the end user interacts with the CPE, the user receives a series of the simple views, allowing the rich experience that is typically given by EPG rendered directly by the CPE.

  • Publication number: 20190388029
Abstract: A monitoring device for detecting wetness in a garment is disclosed. The monitoring device of the present disclosure includes a locking mechanism that slides back and forth relative to a clip that is removably attachable to a garment between a first position in which the locking mechanism locks the clip in a closed position and a second position in which the clip is in an open position. As the locking mechanism transitions from the first position to the second position, the locking mechanism opens the clip. Advantageously, the monitoring device of the present disclosure allows a caregiver to align and secure the monitoring device to a garment using only one hand.

  • Patent number: 10330099
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining the health of a compressor are disclosed. In one embodiment, a prognostic-diagnostic unit (PDU) compares expected compressor power consumption, based on current operating conditions of the HVAC system, to actual compressor power consumption. If the actual power consumption is within a predefined range of the expected power consumption under current operational conditions, the HVAC system is determined to be operating properly. If the actual power consumption deviates from the expected power consumption, a fault is indicated. An appropriate action is taken, such as displaying a fault alert, transmitting a fault message to another device, and storing information relating to the fault for later retrieval to assist troubleshooting.
