  • Publication number: 20230414856
Abstract: A collecting unit, which receives secretion from a patient. The collecting unit comprises a cover (2) and a bag (3), which is mechanically connected to the cover (2). The bag (3) can be converted from a folded state, in which a portion of the bag (3) is folded about a fold axis (FA), into an unfolded state. Two overlapping overlap areas (3.1, 3.2) of the bag (3) that have each a connection area (VB.1, VB.2), are formed in the folded state. These connection areas (VB.1, VB.2) are detachably connected to one another, and preferably in a positively connected. The fold axis (FA) forms a common edge of the two overlap areas (3.1, 3.2).

  • Publication number: 20220273862
Abstract: A collection device and a collection process provide the capability of receiving secretions, which have been suctioned out of a patient (P). A collecting unit including a bag (3) and a cover (2) encloses a collecting unit interior space (In1). The suctioned secretions flow through a patient-side fluid connection and through a patient-side port (4) in the cover into the collecting unit interior space. A backflow barrier includes a blocking body, which is fastened to a surface of the cover of the collecting unit interior space. In a blocking state, the blocking body closes the patient-side port. A restoring force generator exerts a restoring force on the blocking body, to hold the backflow barrier in the blocking state. A flow of secretions through the patient-side port into the collecting unit interior space brings about a transference of the backflow barrier into a flow stat e against the restoring force.

  • Patent number: 10709823
Abstract: A system (1) for collecting liquid, including a main collecting chamber (10), a main duct section (11, 12, 13) connected to the main collecting chamber (10) in a fluid-communicating manner, and an auxiliary collecting chamber (20, 30, 40). The system (1) has an auxiliary duct section (21, 38, 39) connected to the auxiliary collecting chamber (20, 30, 40) in a fluid-communicating manner for connection to the main duct section (11, 12, 13). The main duct section (11, 12, 13) and the auxiliary duct section (21, 38, 39) form a duct (35, 36, 37) when the main duct section is connected to the auxiliary duct section. A water-soluble closing component (14, 15, 16) closes the duct (35, 36, 37). A hygienic collecting device for liquid, which has a short evacuation time and a flexible collection volume, is provided with the system (1).
