    Abstract: I have discovered that a mixture of a partially hydrolyzed zinc silicate and a waxy lubricant may be applied to a zinc surface to greatly enhance the corrosion protection. The admixture of an alkyl alkoxy silane or tetraalkoxy silane improves the corrosion protection offered by this mixture.
