  • Publication number: 20240108129
Abstract: An elevated platform system includes first and second platform sections and a ladder for accessing the platform sections in an elevated position. The platform sections are aligned in longitudinal arrangement and are configured to be selectively disposed and coupled between a pair of mobile storage units. The first platform section has a proximal end portion defining an opening for receiving a ladder hook. A distal end of the first platform section can releasably couple to a proximal end portion of the second platform section. The platform sections are movable between a deployed or installed position in which they secure the first and second storage units to form an elevated walking or standing surface therebetween, and a retracted or uninstalled position in which the platform sections are detached from at least one of the mobile storage units the allow relative movement of the storage units.

  • Patent number: 9981312
Abstract: A 3-D printer scalable to large sizes employs a combination of mechanical and electrical scanning of a linear array of electron beams that operate to melt material of a powder bed. A housing holding the electron beam sources may be maintained at a high vacuum and positioned close to a print surface to minimize electron travel in a softer vacuum surrounding a print bed.

  • Patent number: 9330800
Abstract: An apparatus for generating medical isotopes provides for the irradiation of dry-phase, granular uranium compounds which are then dissolved in a solvent for separation of the medical isotope from the irradiated compound. Once the medical isotope is removed, the dissolved compound may be reconstituted in dry granular form for repeated irradiation.

  • Publication number: 20150370745
Abstract: An identifier of an asset is retrieved using a first communication protocol and is converted to a form compatible with a second communication protocol. Translation circuitry can convert the identifier and can transmit the converted identifier to a communication bus that uses the second communication protocol. An identifier from a USB device can be converted to a Dallas Semiconductor/Maxim Integrated 1-Wire protocol format in an example, and an RFID identifier can be converted to 1-Wire protocol format in another example.

  • Publication number: 20150274381
Abstract: An apparatus that allows a user to conveniently store and dispense materials and substances of high viscosity. A pair of lids are hingeably coupled to a storage structure at opposite ends of the storage structure. The storage structure defines a storage cavity that is adapted to receive highly viscous substances, oils and gels. The lids adapted to swing onto a storage position proximate to the storage cavity. Magnets and ferromagnetic materials are optionally included and positioned to maintain one or more flaps in a closed storage position and/or to maintain a relative coupling of the two or more storage structures. The storage structure may additionally comprise internal walls that define internal features for holding portions of a material or substance. The internal storage features may define a plurality of storage volumes of equally dimensioned shapes adapted for distributing stored material or substance in equal volumes.

  • Publication number: 20150089633
Abstract: A file cabinet drawer includes support rails supporting asset panels each with a plurality of asset positions to support respective assets and associated asset indicators. A controller activates panel, drawer, and asset indicators to locate assigned assets. A recipient can be reauthenticated and assigned a duplicate asset if the assigned asset becomes unavailable. An administrator can be authenticated to conduct assignment of duplicate assets. Where asset(s) include electronic identification tags, the panels can include contacts in electrical communication with support rails in respective drawers coupled to the controller to read an asset identifier from each tag.
