  • Patent number: 11148023
Abstract: The present invention provides a foldable stick (10), in particular a sports stick (10). The foldable stick (1) includes a plurality of stick segments (12, 14, 16) and at least one tensioning mechanism (18, 20). The stick (10) is adjustable between an assembled configuration in which all stick segments (12, 14, 16) are joined aligned axially with one another, and a disassembled configuration in which the stick segments (12, 14, 16) are detached from one another and can be folded together. The tensioning mechanism (18, 20) is adapted to pretension the stick segments (12, 14, 16) into the assembled configuration of the stick (10).

  • Patent number: 8915522
Abstract: A loop (5) is attached to a grip (1) of a pole using a ball and socket joint. The ball and socket joint encompasses a ball (7) that is held with the capacity to turn and pivot in a recess (8) in the head (4) of the grip (1).

  • Patent number: 8006352
Abstract: A part which can be manually gripped, for example a handle (2), especially for athletic poles, has a core (14) of soft or hard foamed plastic and a covering (12) of leather or textile material or an imitation of such sheet materials. In the core (14) there is a blind hole (20) which is open toward the lower end (5) of the handle (2) and which, when the core consists of soft foam, is formed by a sleeve (16) which is closed on the upper end and which is embedded in the core (14).

  • Patent number: 7950632
Abstract: A damping device, which is provided between a handle and pole tube of a sport pole such as a ski pole, combines the action of a helical compression spring (17) with that of a gas compression spring, whereby a rod-shaped body (5) can be displaced inside a tube (3). An elastic insert (13), which is subjected to the action of the helical compression spring (17), is provided at the end of the rod-shaped body (5). The rod-shaped body (5) is pressed into the tube (3), e.g. when the pole is placed against the ground, and the insert (13) deforms and tightly abuts against the tube (3) from the inside whereby forming a gas compression spring. The damping action is progressively increased inside the tube (3) by the friction of the deformable insert (13).

  • Publication number: 20090317580
Abstract: A connection between two parts (1, 2) of laminar, elastic, plastic foam includes a gluing (5) in the region of the butt joint (6) between the narrow surfaces (3, 4) of the parts (1, 2) and longitudinal, elastic covering strips (7), which are fixed on one or both of the large surfaces (9) of the parts (1, 2) and, in particular, are fastened by gluing (8) and which cover the butt joint (6).

  • Publication number: 20060204322
Abstract: The position of telescopic tubes inserted one in the other, for sports poles, can be fixed, whereby a clamping device is provided within the tubes. The clamping device has a clamping piece and expanding bodies, provided on both ends of the clamping piece. The expanding bodies are screwed onto a threaded rod with counter-running threads sections. On relative rotation of the tubes the expanding bodies are forced into the clamping piece from both ends thereof with an appropriate rotational direction and extend the same essentially evenly outwards over the whole length thereof such that the same rests on the inner surface of the outer tube with a frictional connection and thus fixes the length of the pole, once adjusted. The tubes can thus be fixed with less force required than usual in the desired position relative to each other.

  • Publication number: 20050029797
Abstract: A grip (1) for sticks or poles with a loop (6) consists entirely of grip-friendly material such as foamed plastic and has a holding part (20) which is mounted solely on the shaft (5) for fixing the strip (7) which forms the loop (6). Thus the loop (6) can be attached to the shaft (5) without the grip (1) itself being used at the same time for attaching the loop (6); this makes it possible to produce the grip from grip-friendly material without the danger of the grip (1) being damaged by the forces applied by the loop (6).
