  • Publication number: 20080072036
Abstract: An apparatus and method to enhance complexity in user-selected passwords. The apparatus includes an input module to receive a sequence of key presses and key releases from a user. A comparator module compares the sequence to a stored sequence of key presses and key releases, where the stored sequence functions as a password to restrict access to a particular resource such as computer files, documents, networks, and/or programs. An access module may grant access to the user if the sequence entered matches the stored sequence of key presses and key releases.

  • Patent number: 7103620
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for verification of arithmetic digital circuits is disclosed, wherein a first circuit, called a specification, is compared for equivalence with a further circuit called an implementation, with equivalence occurring when and only when the specification and implementation always produce the same output signals for the same input signals. The gate level description of the specification and implementation are converted to a network of elementary arithmetic 1-bit operations (XOR, half-adders, full adders) and the equivalence of the specification and implementation is identified in that a comparison of the resultant networks from elementary arithmetic 1-bit operations is carried out directly.

  • Publication number: 20040200687
Abstract: A pressure plate for a friction clutch includes a ring-like pressure plate body with a pressure surface on a first axial side for exerting pressure on friction elements, and at least one support element on a second axial side opposite the first axial side. The at least one support element is a separate element from the pressure plate. • Patent number: 6216839
Abstract: A friction coupling for use in particular in the drive train of a motor vehicle includes a clutch casing, a pressure plate which is guided in a rotationally fixed manner with respect to the clutch casing, at least one clutch disk and a spring device containing about 40-60% nickel. A method for coating a nickel-base material, in particular the above mentioned spring element for friction clutches, wherein at least part of the surface of the spring device contains boride, and also a method for producing such a spring device which includes a heat treatment are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6145643
Abstract: A housing for a multiple-disc clutch includes a toothed ring having a plurality of disc-driving teeth arranged on an inner circumferential surface of the same so as to be distributed in the circumferential direction and extending in a ring longitudinal direction. A flywheel is connected to a first end of the toothed ring for common rotation and a cover is connected to a second end the toothed ring for common rotation. At least one component of the cover and flywheel is connected to the toothed ring by a fastening arrangement that does not include fastening bolts.

  • Patent number: 6142276
Abstract: A housing for a multiplate clutch includes a toothed ring having a plurality of multiplate driver teeth arranged on an inner peripheral surface thereof distributed in the peripheral direction, and extending in a ring longitudinal direction. A flywheel disk is connected to the toothed ring at a first end of the same for common rotation. A cover is connected to the toothed ring at a second end of the same for common rotation. In this case, the toothed ring is connected to the flywheel disk by welding.

  • Patent number: 6070707
Abstract: The invention relates to a friction clutch in which an axial play is provided between an inner disk and a hub of a clutch disk. The axial play can be influenced by a device during assembly of the friction clutch in an engine and transmission of a motor vehicle drivetrain such that the hub is displaced, within the axial play, into the position in the axial play which lies closest to a flywheel of the friction clutch.
