  • Patent number: 10240014
Abstract: A film having an A/B/A structure comprising an layer A and a layer B. The layer A is present in an amount ranging from 25 to 65 wt. %, based upon the total weight of the A/B/A structure, and the layer A comprises a first A layer and a second A layer each independently comprise linear low density polyethylene. The layer B is present in an amount ranging from 35 to 75 wt. %, based upon the total weight of the A/B/A structure, and the layer B, which comprises high density polyethylene, is positioned between the first A layer and the second A layer.

  • Publication number: 20080051514
Abstract: Block copolymer comprising:—at least one block of a polymer comprising at least 50 mole % of recurring units (R1) formed by the polycondensation reaction between at least one aromatic dihalocompound comprising at least two —S(?O)2— groups and at least three aromatic rings, and at least one aromatic diol (block (A)), and—at least one block of a polymer comprising at least 50 mole % of recurring units (R2) formed by the polymerization of at least one alkylene oxide (block (B)). Process to synthesize said block copolymer. Polymer composition comprising said block copolymer. Article, in particular membrane, comprising said block copolymer or said polymer composition. Use of said membrane for purifying a liquid or for separating gases.

  • Publication number: 20070117946
Abstract: Ethylene copolymers valuable for films, coatings, sheets, and molded articles are disclosed. Some of the copolymers have a long-chain-branching index from 0.25 to 0.60 and a gpcBR index from 0.1 to 0.7. Others have a primary DSC melting point that is less than its secondary DSC melting point. Also disclosed is LLDPE in which the weight percentage of the low-temperature elution fraction exceeds that of the high-temperature fraction, and wherein the Mw of the low-temperature fraction exceeds that of the high-temperature fraction. The ethylene copolymers process easily, even at low melt indices, and films from the copolymers have high stiffness, good impact resistance, and high heat-seal strength over a wide temperature range.

  • Patent number: 6666011
Abstract: A spinning machine is provided. The spinning machine includes a drafting arrangement for drafting a fibre structure. The spinning machine also includes a spinning device for spinning the fibre structure, the spinning device is located downstream from the drafting arrangement. Also, a condensing device is located between the drafting arrangement and the spinning device. The condensing device has a stationary suction element in fluid communication with a condensing element. The condensing device and the suction element are configured to allow for the removal of air from the condensing element. The suction element has a housing and an insert. The insert is displaceable with respect to the housing along a guide. The insert is arrestable with respect to the housing.

  • Patent number: 6487841
Abstract: A method for controlling a ring spinning frame that has a drafting unit, a spindle, and a ring rail is provided. The method involves providing a clamping device for yarn in a position below a cop on the spindle. The method further involves the driving of the drafting unit, the spindle, and the ring rail in coordinated operation. Also included is changing the twisting of the yarn in order to obtain a matched strength during formation of the reverse winding at the end of the winding cop before reaching the cop bottom port within the last phase of the downward movement of the ring rail. Additionally, the yarn is brought into a section of the clamping device, and the spinning frame is slowed to a standstill. A spinning frame is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20020134068
Abstract: In a spinning machine with a drafting arrangement (1), a condensing device (3) and a spinning device (5) for a fiber structure (71) each, with several such devices being disposed adjacent to one another in a spinning machine, and with a condensing element (31) with the condensing device (3), with a stationary suction element (37) being assigned to the condensing element (31) for discharging the air entering the suction element (37) through the condensing element (31), the suction element consists of a housing (37.1) and an insert (37.2), with the latter being displaceable with respect to the housing (37.1) along a guide means (44a, 44c, 44b) and being arrestable with respect to the housing (37.1).
