  • Patent number: 9789863
Abstract: A method and a system for controlling a parking brake of a motor vehicle are described. According to the described method, an ignition signal and an actuation state of the parking brake are detected. An application force of the parking brake is then set to a first value in dependence upon the actuation state of the parking brake if the ignition signal is present. If the parking brake was previously in an applied actuation state, the application force is reduced from a second value to the first value. If the parking brake was previously in a released actuation state, the application force is increased to the first value. The first value is sufficient to hold the motor vehicle in its current position.

  • Publication number: 20070144635
Abstract: A plurality of gas turbine components or other articles are manufactured from a plurality of metallic-alloy workpieces using a manufacturing apparatus having a metalworking apparatus, and an annealing apparatus wherein the individual workpieces are annealed by single-workpiece annealing and not by large-batch annealing. A workpiece flow of the plurality of workpieces is established sequentially through the metalworking apparatus and the annealing apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20060202555
Abstract: A method of automatically suppressing or preventing noise generation during the actuation of a vehicle brake system comprising two or more wheel brakes is described. For this purpose, a parameter that allows a conclusion to be drawn about noise generation is acquired and evaluated to detect the occurrence or imminent occurrence of noises. Should the evaluation reveal the occurrence and imminent occurrence of noises, the brake force distribution between the wheel brakes is changed. This change of the brake force distribution is effected while simultaneously retaining a desired and/or set vehicle deceleration.

  • Patent number: 6422657
Abstract: An improved vehicle wheel hub mounting system includes a wheel hub, an axle spindle, a bearing assembly, and a threaded fastener. The wheel hub defines an axis and including a generally axially extending body having a bore formed therethrough. The bore of the wheel hub includes an internal splined portion and an inner annular wheel hub surface spaced apart from the internal splined portion. The inner annular wheel hub surface defines a predetermined wheel hub inner diameter. The axle spindle is connected to the wheel hub for rotation therewith and includes a generally axially extending body having an external splined portion and an outer annular axle spindle surface spaced apart from the external splined portion. The external splined portion of the axle spindle matingly receives the internal splined portion of the wheel hub to connect the axle spindle to the wheel hub for rotation therewith.

  • Patent number: 4306475
Abstract: A continuous automotive felt die cutting press, cuts pattern out of a web passing through it. After exit of the web from the cutting press, the cut patterns and web are passed over a perforated roller that rotates about internally segmented zones having a plurality of removable solid and perforated sleeves. The roller is capable of transmitting a vacuum or a pressure through any one of its internally segmented zones with directional and force control being partially provided by the removable sleeve placement on the segmented roller. Base guides, which are adjustable, are located in the area between the perforated sleeves to provide a solid base for the cut patterns to rest upon during their vacuum separation from the web.
