Patent number: 8700904Abstract: The invention relates to a method for planning an automation system project, a method for authenticating a user during access to an automation device in an automation system, an automation system and a computer program for planning an automation system project. To improve the security concept in automation systems, the provision of a single sign-on authentication method for an automation system is proposed. A user is thus able to simultaneously register at all automation devices within an automation project using a single authentication. A fundamental part of the invention is thus to centrally project plan the single sign-on method. In other words, the basic provision of the basis for the subsequent authentication already takes place during the project planning of the automation project based on a project database. This procedure allows the realization of a single sign-on method for the complete projected automation system and thus simultaneously for all automation devices contained in the automation system.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2005Date of Patent: April 15, 2014Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Thomas Talanis, Thomas Tröster, Frank Volkmann

Publication number: 20120174406Abstract: In a method of making a component for a motor vehicle, a metal part in the form of a plate, semifinished product, or a formed part, is heated in a fluidized bed of a fluidized bed furnace. The fluidized bed is being fluidized by a fluid, e.g. gas. Subsequently; the metal part is subjected to a forming, hardening or aging process.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2011Publication date: July 12, 2012Applicant: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Thomas Tröster, Thorsten Marten, Stefan Adelbert, Otto Buschsieweke

Patent number: 7941858Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system for access licensing for an automation device. In order to simplify access licensing for an automation device it is proposed to use client-side licenses. Thus the license is no longer linked to the automation device.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2005Date of Patent: May 10, 2011Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Thomas Talanis, Thomas Tröster, Frank Volkmann

Publication number: 20090204883Abstract: There is described a method for the dynamic generation of internet pages, a computer program and a computer system for carrying out said method. Internet pages are thus mostly generated when requested by a client. Script languages such as ASP or PHP are used which have a high demand for hardware resources. Computer systems with limited hardware resources, in particular, integrated systems cannot however make use of the above. A flexible and resource-saving generation of internet pages has to be achieved. Said aim is achieved by means of preparing a static internet page for the client and to prepare an add-on for the variable content components. The add-on piece is generated with a standard parser, a data file and a template. The static internet page links to the data file and this to the template. Alternatively the static internet page links to both the data file and the template.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2005Publication date: August 13, 2009Inventors: Thomas Talanis, Thomas Tröster, Frank Volkmann

Patent number: 7478145Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method called autotopology of a network or advertising based network management which enables the analysis and automatic graphical and hierarchical representation of any hierarchical or flat network topology, especially a switched Ethernet (SE). The autotopology can be used for self-configured networks (for example by using zeroconf) and for any otherwise configured networks, especially using DHCP or manually configured networks. The use of zeroconf is called autoconfiguration. Autoconfiguration and autotopology enable a comfortable and safe administration of a network. Administration of a self-configured network using the autotopology data proceeds in a separate and low-priority sub-network (link local) so that the productive operation of the network remains undisturbed. The topology of the network is used as a clear possibility of administering a network. Administration of the network is possible immediately after determination of the topology.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2003Date of Patent: January 13, 2009Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Josef Braun, Joachim Feld, Stefan Roth, Thomas Talanis, Thomas Tröster, Frank Volkmann

Patent number: 7357060Abstract: A vehicle is armored the steps of sequentially making a steel plate with a thickness of 4 mm to 15 mm of by weight 0.2 to 0.4% carbon, 0.3 to 0.8% silicon, 1.0 to 2.5% manganese, max. 0.02% phosphorous, max. 0.02% sulfur, max. 0.05% aluminum, max. 2% copper, 0.1 to 0.5% chromium, max. 2% nickel 0.1 to 1% molybdenum, 0.001 to 0.01% boron, 0.01 to 1% tungsten, max. 0.05% nitrogen, and balance iron and impurities. This plate is heated to above the AC3 temperature and deformed without cooling in a press. While still in the press, the steel plate is cooled and cured. Then the deformed and cured steel plate is taken out of the press and mounted on the motor vehicle without significant further working or shaping.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2006Date of Patent: April 15, 2008Assignee: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Markus Müller, Christian Gnass, Wilfried Rostek, Thomas Tröster, Rainer Lübbers

Publication number: 20060169143Abstract: A device for storing compressed gas includes a cylindrical pressure vessel having inlet and outlet conduits for a cooling/heating fluid and for compressed gas. Arranged in the interior of the pressure vessel are plural storage layers which are separated from one another and contain solid matter for charging with compressed gas. The storage layers have a volume, which depends on a charging state of the storage layers with compressed gas, and are separated dust-tight from one another about their circumference. Bounding one side of each storage layer is a spring layer which assumes a filtering function with respect to the solid matter of the storage layer, wherein the solid matter in the storage layer is charged with compressed gas via the spring layer or compressed gas is discharged from the solid matter in the storage layers via the spring layer. The other opposite side of the storage layer is bounded by a gastight cooling/heating layer for passage of the cooling/heating fluid.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 3, 2006Publication date: August 3, 2006Applicant: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Thomas Troster, Norbert Austerhoff, Ingo Hermann, Florian Mertens, Holger Winkelmann

Publication number: 20060142878Abstract: The invention relates to a system and a method for virtual on line process interfacing for distributed engineering systems in automation technology based on a remote desktop protocol. A communication channel is established from any client within the system to a server via the RDP by means of online access. Process data and project planning data are tunneled via the channel. Quasi peer-to-peer communication between random clients in the system is made possible by means of routing on the server.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2003Publication date: June 29, 2006Applicant: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Thomas Banik, Hendrik Gerlach, Stefan List, Thomas Talanis, Thomas Troster, Frank Volkmann

Publication number: 20030163920Abstract: In a method of making a structural member for the automobile industry, a blank of boron steel is pre-formed at ambient temperature into an intermediary part of a configuration which substantially corresponds to an end shape of a finished structural member. The intermediary part is then coated with aluminum or an aluminum alloy and exposed to a temperature above the upper transformation line in the TTT curve. Subsequently, the intermediary part is formed in a mold into the finished structural member while being hardened at the same time.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2003Publication date: September 4, 2003Applicant: BENTELER AUTOMOBILTECHNIK GMBH & CO.
