    Abstract: A weapon sling having a weapon release run and a weapon carrying run has a fastener with an L-shaped pivoting lever mounted near the stock end of weapon release ran. A rectangular lock ring is attached to the stock end of the weapon carrying run. The lock ring is engageable over the L-shaped lever, which can pivot over the ring to deposit the ring against an inclined surface of the fastener that retains the ring against accidental loss under tension applied to the sling.
