  • Publication number: 20200087532
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions containing at least one reactive binder, at least one curing agent and/or accelerator, at least one thermally activatable blowing agent and at least one light-weight filler, wherein at least one expanded particle of at least one glass-rich volcanic rock with a closed outer shell is contained as a light-weight filler. The invention also relates to a method for stiffening and/or reinforcing components with thin-walled structures with a corresponding composition as well as to correspondingly produced components.

  • Publication number: 20040052951
Abstract: Hot-curing reactive compositions based on natural and/or synthetic elastomers which contain olefinic double bonds and vulcanization agents which contain, apart from conventional liquid polyenes, at least one liquid cis-1,4-polyisophere with a molecular weight between 20 000 and 70 000 and a vulcanization system consisting of sulfur, accelerators and quinonoximes, exhibit plastisol-like flow characteristics so that they can be applied at room temperature using conventional spray units. These compositions are suitable as joint-sealing and sealing compositions, as underseal adhesives and as structural adhesives such as e.g. lap-joint adhesives.

  • Patent number: 6602175
Abstract: A process for manufacturing brochures, books or like products, having a jacket constructed with turned-in flaps, the folded edges of the flaps preferably protruding beyond the front cut of the block or terminating flush with the latter in which (a) leaves or folded sheets are gathered in a gathering machine (3) to form a block (1), (b) the block (1) is fed to a first cutting station (A) and trimmed on the front side (1a) and (c) then is transferred into an adhesive binding machine (4) in which the leaves or folded sheets are joined by the application of an adhesive, (d) the block (1) is cased into a jacket and (e) the block (1), provided with a jacket, is fed to a second cutting station (B) where the product (2) is trimmed at the top and bottom sides (2a, 2b).

  • Publication number: 20010004625
Abstract: In a process for manufacturing brochures, books or like products, having a jacket constructed with turned-in flaps, the folded edges of the said flaps preferably protruding beyond the front cut of the block or terminating flush with the latter, what is provided for, with a view to more economic production, is that leaves or folded sheets are gathered in a gathering machine (3) to form a block (1), the said block (1) is fed to a first cutting station (A) and trimmed on the front side (1a) and is transferred into an adhesive binding machine (4) in which the leaves or folded sheets are joined, by the application of an adhesive, to the previously processed block back, and the said block (1) is cased into a jacket; and that the block (1), provided with a jacket, is fed to a second cutting station (B) and the product (2) is trimmed at the top and bottom sides (2a, 2b).

  • Patent number: 5971131
Abstract: A method and apparatus for conveying material hanging on hangers. The material is transported from a loading region to a conveyance region, and then to a delivery region. Grip units of various lengths are formed by combining individual materials into groups. A theoretical maximum length for a grip unit is established. Clock pulses are produced in the conveyance region and are counted. Grip units stowed in the loading region are individualized to form well-defined spaces between the materials. Individualized grip units fed to the conveyance region are switched into the conveyance region when a gap sufficiently large to accommodate the grip unit is present in the conveyance region, determined by the maximum length established and counting of the clock pulses. The distance to be moved by the grip unit in the conveyance region to reach its destination is established, and progress of the grip unit is tracked.

  • Patent number: 5799769
Abstract: An adapter for use with a hanging conveyor system in which articles hanging on hangers and particularly articles of clothing, are transported for sorting or ordering by means of a conveyor along a transport path. The adapter is codable with data concerning the articles. The adapter is insertable between each article hanger provided with a hanger hook and the conveyor means. The adapter has a hook-shaped head region and a receiving region located below the head region. The receiving region has at least one section having a U-shaped cross section formed by an upward-extending arm. The receiving region contacts the hanger hook over such a region that the hanger hook, once inserted, will not twist in the receiving region. In a preferred embodiment, the receiving region is made up of two sections that are adjacent to each other, forming between them an intermediate space. Methods and arrangements for automatically loading hangers into and unloading hangers from the adapters also are provided.
