    Abstract: A method for the digital transmission of data blocks from a transmitting station to a receiving station, wherein delta information is generated at the transmitting end which indicates the positions at which a further data block differs from the preceding data block. The delta information is provided with error protection and is added to the further data block and is transmitted. The received first and the at least one extended further data block are stored in the receiving station. The delta information of the at least one extended further data block is then retrieved and applied to the stored preceding data block. It is thereby made comparable with the at least one further data block. A soft combining of the received further data block and the transformed preceding data block is then carried out. The payload of the further data block is retrieved from the combined data block.

The service start notification message triggers sending a query to a database of the service provider containing customer data, and confirming the customer has access rights for getting Internet access at the service provider's expenses. The service provider generates and sends out a request message to the mobile communication provider of the customer and requests an intermediate change of the customer's mobile communication contract so the costs for loading Internet data on the customer's user equipment will be temporarily charged to the service provider rather than the customer.

The method includes a vehicle equipped with an on-board unit and surroundings observation apparatus which produces a report about a detected vehicle not equipped with an on-board unit and transmits the report to the further vehicles which are moving or are located in the respective area. The further vehicles which receive the report transmit back a confirmation message to the reporting vehicle and confirm that the further vehicles are happy with the report. The further vehicles then refrain from transmitting a separate report about the unequipped vehicle.

The solution is based on classifying the data for data communication in different categories, the categories determining susceptibility of the data to transmission errors determining which data is transmitted under good transmission conditions only and which data is be transmitted under rough transmission conditions whereby the transmission station plans the transmission of data in different categories.     Abstract: A method for collision avoidance between a vulnerable road user transportation vehicle and a surrounding transportation vehicle. The user of the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle makes use of a portable communication device. Since such vulnerable road users are often involved in accidents since they are not easily recognized in the traffic, the disclosure increases safety for these vulnerable road users. The method includes transferring position detecting sensor data or derived position data of the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle to the portable communication device which performs a map matching technique for refining the position data and transfers the refined position data to the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle. The vulnerable road user transportation vehicle distributes the refined position data to the surrounding transportation vehicles which calculate a trajectory for the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle and estimate the risk of a collision.

    Abstract: A method for planning a collision avoidance maneuver for use in the scenarios of cooperative driving or autonomous driving. The method includes observing the surroundings of a transportation vehicle; determining the risk of a collision; starting an information exchange phase for the involved transportation vehicles in response to a risk of a collision. During the information exchange phase an involved transportation vehicle submits its own determined driving hose to the involved transportation vehicles. An evaluation phase is started in which a transportation vehicle evaluates its own and the received driving hoses from the other involved transportation vehicles. A mutual safe region for the involved transportation vehicles to go for avoiding the collision is determined. This is submitted to the involved transportation vehicles for checking with the safety requirements of the involved transportation vehicles.

    Abstract: Modern mobile communication systems transfer data by error protection measures including the use of a forward error correction code for the channel coding and a HARQ (hybrid automatic repeat request) system for the repeated transfer of incorrect transport blocks in response to the error protection mechanisms failing. When a turbo code is used as an error protection code, two decoders work on the decoding of the turbo code. Disclosed is an expanded HARQ system wherein the receiving side determines which of the decoders was more greatly challenged in the decoding of the turbo code and reports this to the transmitting side. Instead of uniformly providing more redundancy data to both decoders, more redundancy data are targetedly provided to the more greatly challenged decoder in the expanded HARQ process than in the case of the repetition operation according to the typical HARQ process reducing the latency of the data transfer.
