  • Patent number: 12001571
Abstract: A method of operating a user device includes: receiving a command from a user to power on the user device, wherein the user device includes information on a restricted zone associated with the user device; detecting, by a monitoring entity of the user device without involvement of any device external to the user device, whether the user device is located within the restricted zone in response to the user device being powered on and before an operating system of the user device is executed; and granting access of the user to the user device by the monitoring entity in response to detecting the user device as being within the restricted zone.

  • Publication number: 20030084215
Abstract: A handwriting and video input function included portable electronic device for downloading or uploading data from or to an electronic machine comprises a tablet screen, a multimedia I/O unit, a wireless transceiver unit, and a data I/O controller. The tablet screen is employed to receive tact signals of a stylus, and the multimedia I/O unit includes an audio and/or video signal I/O module for input and output of multimedia A/V signals. The wireless transceiver unit is an infrared ray (IR) transceiver unit composed of an IR transceiver and an IR controller, or a radio transceiver unit, for uploading the input data of the tablet screen or the multimedia I/O unit to an electronic machine and downloading data from the electronic machine. The data I/O controller is a flash memory controller to control the tablet screen, the multimedia I/O unit, and the wireless transceiver unit.

  • Publication number: 20030052892
Abstract: A method for coloring handwriting locus of handwriting input device comprises: (a) Setting the values of the three original colors (red-green-blue, RGB) at the starting point of a handwriting locus as a set of reference values; (b) Choosing the value of one of the original colors as a variable, which is decreased or increased by degrees to thereby obtain a plurality of RGB combinations to be taken as the RGB values of the ensuing locus points until the variable is decreased down to 0 or increased up to 255, and resetting the RGB values of the last combination as a restart set of reference values; (c) Judging whether the locus input action is ceased or not; if “true”, the step is quitted to exit, or continue to the next step if “false; and (d) Choosing the value of another original color as a variable and repeating step (b), except the variable is decreased or increased by degrees in directions reverse to that in step (b), then returning to step (c).

  • Publication number: 20030015355
Abstract: A method for modifying handwriting locus of a handwriting-input device comprises a locus processing procedure for receiving the output original induction coordinates of a communication interface between the operating system and the handwriting-input device. By taking advantage of a weight-based plotting method for adjusting the original induction coordinates of the handwriting-input device and loading the same to an application program, a smoother handwriting locus is obtainable.

  • Patent number: 6267753
Abstract: Robotic manipulation of three-part plastic preparation assemblies automatically produces IV solutions which conform to a input specifications of a pharmacist located on site or remotely, including preparation telerobotically. The transparent plastic bag assemblies are stored in a magazine, and are extracted automatically one by one for preparation of individual prescriptions. A supply bag is prefilled with U.S.P. water and is connected through a valve to a mixing bag. Unit dose holders with medicaments and pH adjusting chemistries are dispensed into the mixing bag through an inlet where they are broken open by manipulation, and water is introduced. The bag contents are mixed by rotation of a magnetic mixing bar. The mixing bag is connected by a second valve through a filter to an administration bag. Negative pressure is applied to the administration bag to draw the solution through the filter. The administration bag is then heat sealed and severed from the filter for delivery to the patient.

  • Patent number: 5941867
Abstract: Sterile solutions containing pharmaceuticals suitable for use in low and micro-gravity environments are prepared with unit dose pharmaceutical dispensers having a pre-measured quantity of medicament. A compressed air reservoir may be activated to rupture the dispenser and positively expel the unit dose into solution. This can be accomplished by inverting a bag containing the pharmaceutical or by operation of a piston which pushes all the pharmaceutical from the dispenser. A robot either places the pharmaceutical dispensers inside a mixing chamber or connects the dispensers to the mixing chamber, which comprises a flexible bag expandable to receive sterile water and pharmaceuticals. The mixing chamber may collapse under cabin pressure to drive prepared solutions from the chamber through a sterilization filter into an intravenous bag or dispensing unit.

  • Patent number: 5196001
Abstract: A device for the preparation of sterile U.S.P. pharmaceutical solutions for intravenous use includes a transparent first bag, a transparent second bag, and a filtration unit. The filtration unit has an inlet tube and an outlet tube, the inlet tube of the filtration unit being attached to an outlet port in the first bag and the outlet tube being connected to the second bag. The first bag has a resealable inlet port through which aqueous U.S.P. solvent and unit dose holders containing medicaments may be introduced. The unit dose holders which contain ingredients to be mixed with a solvent have air-filled portions separated from ingredient containing portions by a rupturable plastic portion. The contents of the holder may be released by manipulation of the air-filled portions. The unit dose holders are labeled such that the labeling may be read through the transparent bag.

  • Patent number: 4906103
Abstract: A device for the preparation of sterile pharmaceutical solutions for intravenous use includes a first bag (1), a second bag (8), and a filtration unit (5). The filtration unit (5) has an inlet tube and an outlet tube, the inlet tube of the filtration unit (5) being attached to an outlet port in the first bag (1) and the outlet tube being connected to an inlet port through which aqueous solvent may be introduced. The first bag (1) has a flexible lining that defines a chamber and a plurality of individual storage containers (3) attached to the lining of the chamber. The containers (3) have tops that may be snapped off by manipulation of the lining opposite the chamber. The removal of the container allows ingredients contained within to be individually released into the chamber on demand. The combination of the ingredients and the aqueous solvent forms a pharmaceutical solution of known composition.
