  • Patent number: 11287208
Abstract: The invention relates to a gun provided with recoil brake (14) and a method for improving the efficiency of the same. During the method a portion of the gunpowder gases burnt by means of the oxidant present in the barrel (2) of the gun but still containing inflammable material is introduced as the primary medium from the barrel (2) of the gun into the nozzle (9) of an ejector and the secondary medium is thus pumped in for forming a pre-mixture which is introduced into the combustion chamber of a pulsating reactive drive mechanism (10) acting in a direction opposite to the direction of the shot. This mixture is further burnt by means of the medium containing oxidant present in the drive mechanism (10), the combustion product is led out through the blow pipe (18) and the flow-back taking place during combustion is avoided by means of a valve.

  • Patent number: 5266029
Abstract: A method and apparatus for instrumental model analysis employing a mandibular dental model support pivotally carried on a maxillary dental model support to simulate hinge movements of the lower jaw. The mandibular model support includes a base plate with two vertically extending and spaced apart columns, each column supporting a condylar head, the connection line of the two heads defining the instrumental hinge axis. The condylar heads are individually adjustable in a tridimensional manner to vary the position and orientation of the instrumental hinge axis.

  • Patent number: 5154608
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determination of the jaw relation and for instrumental occlusion analysis, which permit a reliable diagnosis and treatment for the occlusion. For this purpose, a maxillary model and mandibular model from a patient are fixed in plaster independently of one another and anatomically correctly and are placed one upon the other in an instantaneous occlusal position. For the instantaneous occlusal position, the positioning of the articular cavities of the maxillary model relative to the hinge axis of the mandibular model is determined, and the maxillary model is then displaced three-dimensionally relative to the mandibular model, with symmetrical alignment of the articular cavities relative to the hinge axis. The resulting jaw relation is fixed for an analysis of the malocclusions.

  • Patent number: 5098289
Abstract: A model of the human head having a movable lower jaw is used in the analysis of gnathological relationships. The model receives reproductions of a dental patient's upper and lower dental arches and simulates the functional movements which occur during mastication and, in so doing, permits visual observation of the mandibular joints so that a course of therapy may be chosen.

  • Patent number: 4324370
Abstract: A roller apparatus for winding and unwinding a pool cover is provided which comprises a telescoping roller section which can be adjusted in length, wheel or pedestal supports to support the roller above a pool edge, axle members connecting the roller to the wheel or pedestal supports, the latter containing ball bearings to permit axle rotation and means, such as a crank or motor, connected to one of the axle members for rotating the roller to collect the pool cover, the latter being connected to the roller. Once the pool cover is taken up, the apparatus can be rolled on its wheels, or carried where pedestal supports are used, to a storage area.

  • Patent number: 4010626
Abstract: Knitted underwear, such as panties, panty hose, leotard and the like formed with a terry patch simultaneously knitted with the fabric at the crotch or other areas. The garment is made on a circular seamless hosiery knitting machine. The resulting tube is tailored for the leg openings, then sewn to form the garment. Shaping of the terry patch is effected by using the usual needle selecting device, normally employed for heel patch reinforcement and modified with suitable cams. The machine is modified to use new dial elements, a new throat plate and a new manner of feeding the loop forming yarn and the base yarn above and below the plane of the dial elements respectively. The machine is operated in a new way and can also produce knitted fabric with eyelet pattern.
