In one example, a method includes receiving a captured image frame comprising a plurality of pixels having a first range of associated pixel values. The method also includes receiving a selection of a subset of the pixels, wherein the subset comprises a gas feature and a scene feature. The method also includes determining a span associated with the pixels of the subset having a second range of associated pixel values smaller than the first range. The method also includes scaling the captured image frame to provide an adjusted image frame limited to the second range of pixel values associated with the span to increase contrast between the gas feature and the scene feature. The method also includes displaying the adjusted image frame. Additional methods and systems are also provided.
