  • Patent number: 8793848
Abstract: A device for needling a fibrous web includes a needle bar. The needle bar carries a needle board having a plurality of needles and is guided by a bar carrier that is driven in an oscillating manner with superimposed horizontal and vertical motion via a crank drive. A phase-adjusting device adjusts a phase position of a crankshaft of the crank drive. The motion of the bar carrier is guided by a guiding device. To absorb inertial forces in the horizontal direction on the needle bar at large phase angles and to guarantee the mobility of the needle bar, the guiding device is formed by one or more guiding rods, which are connected to the bar carrier via a swivel joint. The driven needle bar is guided by the guide rods at the phase angle set by the phase-adjusting device in the angle range of 0 to 30 DEG.

  • Patent number: 8495805
Abstract: An apparatus is described for needling a fibrous web having at least one needle bar. On its underside, the needle bar carries a needle board with a multiplicity of needles, wherein the needle bar is guided via a movably held bar carrier. The bar carrier is driven in an oscillating manner with a superimposed horizontal and vertical movement by a crank mechanism drive. To this end, a phase shifting device is provided, by which the crankshafts of the crank mechanism drive can be adjusted depending on the phase relation. Here, the movement of the bar carrier is guided by a guide device. In order to obtain stable guidance with high flexibility in every situation, according to the invention the guide device is formed by a steering rod which is connected at one end to the bar carrier by a rotary joint and which is coupled with the other end to a steering gear by a second rotary joint.

  • Patent number: 8099840
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for needling a web of fiber, said device comprising at least one driven needle beam. A vertical reciprocal movement of the needle beam is carried out by a vertical drive unit and a superposed horizontal reciprocal movement is carried out by a horizontal drive unit or due to a phase adjustment by the vertical drive unit. A weight balancing device is provided for balancing the inertia forces of the crank mechanisms. In order to be able to balance both vertical and horizontal inertia forces in a simple manner, the weight balancing device is formed by at least one balance weight which is associated with the crank mechanism of the vertical drive unit and which is set-off by an angle in the range of <180° from an eccentric element of the crank mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20070138686
Abstract: A melt spinning device used for producing a plurality of multifilament yarns and which comprises a plurality of spinning nozzles for extruding a plurality of filament bundles, a preparation device for separately combining the filament bundles to individual yarns and a plurality of treatment devices. The filament bundles, when being extruded, are separated by a center distance (M) and the yarns in the treatment device are guided in a substantially smaller treatment spacing (B). This provides an especially compact melt spinning device and allows a rapid and uncomplicated threading of the filament bundles. For this purpose, a plurality of separating yarn guides are mounted downstream of the preparation device in the thread path. The separating yarn guides are arranged at a yarn spacing (S) to each other which is substantially smaller than the center distance (M).

  • Patent number: 7172399
Abstract: An apparatus for spinning melt-spun filament yarns including a spin beam is disclosed. A polymer melt fed to a spin beam is distributed within the spin beam to a plurality of spinning cans mounted on the spin beam. To reduce costs to the manufacturer for ensuring ease of disassembly of the spin beam, as well as to avoid the need for disassembling the spin beam and having a furnace on hand, the spin beam is provided with an integrated or removably attachable regenerative heater by which the melt-conducting components of the spin beam can be heated to a regeneration temperature of between about 450 to 550° C. to pyrolytically remove the deposits.

  • Patent number: 7125238
Abstract: An apparatus for melt spinning a plurality of strand-like filaments through a spinneret, which is mounted within a downwardly open receptacle in a nozzle holder. The spinneret includes a housing which is deformed by the entry of the pressurized polymeric melt into an internal diffuser chamber, so as to press the spinneret against the inner wall of the receptacle and thereby seal the melt inlet of the spinneret against the melt outlet in the receptacle. Thus the high pressure forces required for sealing only arise and are active during the operational state, and the spinneret can be otherwise held in the nozzle holder under a minimal securing force which permits the spinneret to be easily loosened and removed for periodic maintenance.

  • Publication number: 20050263941
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for spinning dyed filaments from a dyed polymer melt, wherein an undyed polymer melt is produced by a melt producer. A liquid dye is added to the polymer melt by means of a dye metering device. To mix the liquid dye and dye the polymer melt, a mixing unit is provided. The dyed polymer is then spun to filaments by means of a spin unit. To obtain before the spinning step a uniform coloration of the polymer melt despite the short dwelling time of the liquid dye in the polymer melt, the liquid dye and the polymer melt are mixed in a plurality of successive mixing units which are formed by a mixer combination comprising at least one static mixer and at least one dynamic mixer.
