  • Patent number: 4453290
Abstract: A lever-operable fastener for pulling two parts of a skiing boot toward each other comprises a rack (1) , which is secured to one of said parts and adapted to receive a tensioning lever (2). A tensile element (3) is connected to the other of said parts and acts on said tensioning lever at a point which is spaced from a detent element (4), which is provided on the tensioning lever (2) and is adapted to extend into a tooth space of said rack (1) so as to define a fulcrum for said lever.

  • Patent number: 4326320
Abstract: A tensioning lever is mounted on one part of the shoe. A tension loop is mounted on another part of the shoe and adapted to be hooked into the tensioning lever. The tensioning lever can be moved along a rack to tension the fastener and is restrained by releasable means against being pulled back. Before a retensioning of the fastener, the latter should not be relieved from tension entirely. For this purpose, the tensioning lever cooperates with a ratchet mechanism for tensioning the fastener. The ratchet mechanism comprises a driver which cooperates with the rack and which consists of or is adapted to move with the tensioning lever.

  • Patent number: 4310951
Abstract: The fastener comprises two fastener members, one of which consists of a tension strap and the other of a strap retainer. One of the fastener members is provided with teeth, which are interengageable with a tensioning lever, which is associated with the other fastener member. Strap-restraining means are also provided, which comprise a locking pawl that is mounted on said other fastener member and cooperates with said teeth. The teeth have inclined tooth spaces and in order to facilitate the operation of the fastener are provided either on the tension strap on its inner side facing the shoe or on the strap retainer on its outer side facing away from the shoe. That part of the strap-restraining means which cooperates with the tension strap extends away from the shoe and is firmly connected to the strap retainer.
