  • Publication number: 20180353834
Abstract: This disclosure pertains to a storage rack for weights, or “weight rack” or “dumbbell rack” as commonly referred to in the exercise equipment industry, which includes in-plane identification markings, such as numbering, designating both the location and amount of a particular weight supported by the rack. The in-plane identification markings are formed in at least one user reference surface to designate the weight of the dumbbell to be supported in that specific location of the rack. The in-plane identification markings are formed in at least one of the horizontal support members proximate to the saddles that receive the dumbbells. The in-plane identification markings are extremely durable and provide guidance for users of the weights as to precisely where to return the weights after use. Returning the weights to their proper location on the weight rack improves usage of the racks and reduces clean-up efforts by employees.

  • Publication number: 20180341350
Abstract: An integrated control panel for use in a motor vehicle/automobile, which includes a stack assembly and associated electronics modules for processing signals. The assembly includes one or more capacitive sensors between a decorative touch surface layer and a movable member. Between the movable member and a stationary member is a gap in which a plurality of metallic devices outputting a magnetic flux are positioned across from respective induction sensors. Supporting the movable member above the stationary member are flexible members that compress upon application of a force (touch) on the surface layer, which permits the distance separating the metallic devices and inductions sensors to decrease in a manner that is measurable. The electronics modules provide touch location and force information, which may be conveyed to the motor vehicle/automobile electronics.

  • Patent number: 10036670
Abstract: A peak junction temperature monitoring system for a semiconductor device includes a peak power dissipation sensor for sensing the peak power dissipation in the device. A temperature sensor senses an average temperature of the device, and a peak junction temperature computation circuit generates a signal representative of a peak junction temperature based on input from the peak power dissipation sensor and the temperature sensor.

  • Publication number: 20170255280
Abstract: A rotary control knob for an automobile has a central portion comprising a display and a radial encoder disposed therearound. The display selectively displays first information regarding a first function of the automobile and second information regarding a second function of the automobile. The radial encoder selectively receives input regarding the first and the second functions. The radial encoder can selectively receive input regarding the first function only when the first information is displayed on the display, and receive input regarding the second function only when the second information is displayed on the display. Or, the radial encoder can selectively receive input regarding the first function only when the first information is displayed in a primary area of the display, while displaying the second information in a secondary area. Capacitive coupling can identify user seat location to provide driver and front passenger specific zone features.

  • Publication number: 20150012514
Abstract: A method includes receiving landing page information from a content provider, the landing page information being representative of one or more graphical aspects of a landing page associated with the content provider, generating a landing page image representative of the landing page based at least in part on the landing page information, the landing page image being different from the landing page, specifying an association between the landing page image and a content item associated with the content provider, generating a control for presentation along with the content item that, when activated, causes the display of the landing page image providing, in association with a resource, the content item in combination with the control.

  • Publication number: 20140103810
Abstract: A lighting system having a controller, a plurality of lights, and a bidirectional bus interconnecting the controller with the lights. The controller controls of the status of the various lights including the on/off state and intensity of the light by transmitting not only commands along the bidirectional bus, but also the address of the individual lights along the bus to the lights. This address is decoded by a circuit associated with each light to permit the lights to be individually controlled if desired.

  • Patent number: 6832514
Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring system monitors the periodic transmissions from each of the tire pressure monitoring sensors. If a particular sensor fails to report a counter is incremented. The count is compared to a limit, with a lower limit being set for when a vehicle is moving and a higher limit being set for when the vehicle is stationary. If the count exceeds the limit then it is determined that the particular transmitter is failing. When the vehicle transitions from stationary mode to moving mode the count is compared to limits. If the count is between two limits, then the count is reset to a lower number before the control monitors operation in moving mode. In this fashion, inaccurate identifications of a failed transmitter are reduced or eliminated by ensuring that the difference between the two limits does not result in an improper identification of a transmitter as failing when the vehicle transitions from stationary to moving mode.
