  • Patent number: 9450908
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present invention allow for sharing domain names based on a network address or a geographical location of a Requester. Multiple independent parties (Content Providers), which may be located in different geographical areas, may use the same domain name to host their websites. The Requester may access data (e.g. websites, FTP resources) associated with a shared domain name. A Routing DNS may determine the network address or the geographical location of the Requester and provide the Requester with a network address of a Server associated with Requester's network address or geographical location. Each Server is maintained by its own Content Provider.

  • Patent number: 8706816
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present invention allow for delivery of email messages to email addresses associated with the shared domain names. A Routing Mail Server may determine a network address or a geographical location of a Sender and forward email message to a Recipient associated with that network address or geographical location.

  • Patent number: 8380800
Abstract: A system and method of the present invention allow communication via electronic messages between a Customer and a domain name Registrar, avoiding traditional electronic mail (email) communication. Email messages may not be delivered to the Customer for various reasons including the situations where the Customer employs anti-SPAM protective technologies. The system and method of the present invention establish a Communication Link between a Customer's Computer and Registrar's Server, which avoids anti-SPAM protective technologies and email messaging altogether. Information relating to the communication may be stored on a database and the system may present the Customer with various options relating to a domain service. The implementation of this invention would result in a higher rate of delivered messages to the Customer.

  • Publication number: 20100106650
Abstract: Methods of the present inventions allow for jointly auctioning expiring domain names. An exemplary method may comprise determining (perhaps by a server) whether a domain name's registration may expire within a predetermined timeframe. If it is determined that the registration will expire within the timeframe, the domain name registrant may be contacted (prior to the domain name's expiration) to request an agreement to jointly sell the domain name and to share the resultant sales fee. If the parties agree, the domain name may then be sold (perhaps via a server) to a third party and the resultant fee may be shared with the registrant.

  • Publication number: 20100106616
Abstract: Systems of the present inventions allow for jointly auctioning expiring domain names. An example embodiment may comprise a server configured to: (1) determine whether a domain name's expiration date is within a predetermined timeframe (perhaps by searching a registered domain names database); and (2) contact the domain name's registrant to request an agreement to jointly sell the domain name and to share the resultant sales fee. The system also may comprise an expiring domain names database storing domain names having registrations expiring within the predetermined timeframe. A domain name sales website (that may list for sale some of the expiring domain names stored in the expiring names database) may be hosted on a server and a network may communicatively couple the server, registered domain name database, and expiring domain names database.

  • Publication number: 20050289242
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present invention allow for sharing domain names based on a network address or a geographical location of a Requester. Multiple independent parties (Content Providers), which may be located in different geographical areas, may use the same domain name to forward the Requesters to their Websites. A Routing Website may determine the network address or the geographical location of the Requester and serve the Requester with a forwarding command that forwards the Requester to a Website associated with Requester's network address or geographical location. Each Website is maintained by its own Content Provider.

  • Publication number: 20040199608
Abstract: The present invention allows a Customer to register a domain name with an accredited Registry via an accredited Registrar's web site. Zone files from the Registries may be downloaded, optimized and stored in an internal database. As the Customer selects desired domain names, their availability may be determined by searching the internal database or, if needed, the authoritative Registry. The Customer enters the Customer's information on a registration application displayed as a single form on a single web page. The Customer's information may be saved in a login account for use as default Customer information at subsequent login sessions. The available domain name, Customer information and an associated status flag may be saved to an internal database. Software may be used to monitor the internal database and register all unregistered domain names in the internal database to a Registry's SRS database.
