Patent number: 11980408Abstract: An intravascular catheter for peri-vascular and/or peri-urethral tissue ablation includes multiple needles advanced through supported guide tubes which expand with open ends around a central axis to engage the interior surface of the wall of the renal artery or other vessel of a human body allowing the injection an ablative fluid for ablating tissue, and/or nerve fibers in the outer layer or deep to the outer layer of the vessel, or in prostatic tissue. The system also includes means to limit and/or adjust the depth of penetration of the ablative fluid into and beyond the tissue of the vessel wall. The preferred embodiment of the catheter includes structures which provide radial and lateral support to the guide tubes so that the guide tubes open uniformly and maintain their position against the interior surface of the vessel wall as the sharpened injection needles are advanced to penetrate into the vessel wall.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2019Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: Ablative Solutions, Inc.Inventors: David R. Fischell, Tim A. Fischell, Robert Ryan Ragland, Darrin James Kent, Andy Edward Denison, Eric Thomas Johnson, Jeff Alan Burke, Christopher Scott Hayden

Patent number: 9367974Abstract: A system and method are provided for monitoring and aggregating performance of a plurality of independently-controlled access points and connections to a plurality of independently-owned access databases for confirming access to one or more of an access-controlled space, one or more access-controlled pieces of equipment and/or one or more access-controlled devices. A scheme is provided by which disconnections between a central coordination facility, and one or more of the remote databases may be isolated. The central coordination facility is provided a capacity to identify an outage in its communication to a particular database and (1) to determine a cause for the outage through coordination with the entity overseeing the database, (2) to evaluate any need for technical interaction of the central coordination facility, and/or (3) to initiate a notification protocol for end-users attempting to gain/grant access to a particular space, piece of equipment or device.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2014Date of Patent: June 14, 2016Assignee: Rockwell Collins, Inc.Inventors: Kyle Hawver, Tyler Harper, Tim Ryan

Publication number: 20070193166Abstract: A thermal wall system for constructing insulated concrete walls includes a pair of opposing forming walls, a mount extending between the forming walls for positioning the walls in spaced relationship, at least one spacing element mounted to the mount, and a body of thermally insulating material held by the spacing element in spaced relationship to at least one and preferably both of the forming walls. Concrete poured into the areas between the body and forming walls envelopes the spacing members and the insulating body, with the resultant concrete wall having the insulating body spaced from the exposed outer surfaces of the cured concrete of the wall a consistent depth corresponding to the depth of the spacing element. The mounts are preferably tie bars, which readily receive the spacing elements and structurally connect the spacing elements positioned on opposite sides of the body.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2007Publication date: August 23, 2007Applicant: WESTERN FORMS, INC.Inventor: Tim Ryan

Publication number: 20070191939Abstract: A flexible annuloplasty prosthesis for repairing a heart valve having a valve annulus. The annuloplasty prosthesis comprises a flexible body defining an exterior of the prosthesis formed of a biocompatible material and configured to rest against and support the heart valve annulus upon implantation. The flexible annuloplasty prosthesis has a height of not more than 2.5 mm. This low profile characteristic enhances a surgeon's ability to implant the prosthesis. In one preferred embodiment, the flexible body is a fabric material folded onto itself along a length thereof, with the annuloplasty prosthesis being characterized by an elevated longitudinal stiffness.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 26, 2006Publication date: August 16, 2007Inventors: Tim Ryan, Charles Tabor

Patent number: 5931581Abstract: A method and apparatus for making a self-sealable packaging, and the self-sealable packaging and method of use are disclosed. The apparatus includes dispensing a web and converting it by folding or by welding two webs together to provide upper and lower layers defining a pocket therebetween. A line of weakness is provided in an extension on the lower web, and a release liner is positioned over the line of weakness in spanning relationship, with a pattern of adhesive applied between the release liner and the extension below the line of weakness. The release liner is secured to the extension above the line of weakness, and the web is sealed along side boundaries and separated therealong to provide individual bags. The pocket of the bag is sized to receive an article, such as a newspaper therein. After insertion of the newspaper, the extension is separated along the line of weakness to provide a flap carrying the adhesive.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1997Date of Patent: August 3, 1999Assignee: Dennis Garberg & Associates, Inc.Inventors: Dennis D.
