  • Publication number: 20150004368
Abstract: A strip-shaped fiber-reinforced composite material has a fibrous structure that is impregnated with a matrix material which contains at least one thermoplastic polymer. At least one of the large faces of the strip-shaped fiber-reinforced composite material has surface shaping. The surface shaping contains at least one indentation which extends from one of the narrow longitudinal faces of the strip-shaped fiber-reinforced composite material continuously over at least 30% of the width of the strip-shaped fiber-reinforced composite material. Furthermore, a method is performed for producing the strip-shaped, fiber-reinforced composite material.

  • Publication number: 20070132129
Abstract: A process uses ground wood charcoal having a particle size of not more than 40 ?m as a starting material for producing dense, compact, homogeneous and isotropic ceramic bodies containing a high content of silicon carbide and a geometric density of at least 2.80 g/cm3. A homogeneous mixture is formed from the ground wood charcoal and a carbonizable binder for forming the ceramic bodies.
