  • Patent number: 9648483
Abstract: The invention relates to methods, apparatuses, systems and computer program products for discovery of nearby devices (510, 520, 525, 540, 545). To facilitate discovery of nearby, i.e. proximal, devices, a discovery control signal (570, 572, 574, 576, 578) from a control device (530) may be used to control the discovery, e.g. how or when the discovery is carried out. The devices may send status information of their status to be used by the control device or the control system for forming the discovery control signal. The control device, e.g. a server, may form the discovery control signal based on this status information. Discovery of proximal devices may then be carried out based on the received discovery control signal.

  • Patent number: 9571604
Abstract: An example approach for enabling content to be distributed based on user and device related execution criteria is described. A collaboration platform determines one or more execution criteria for at least one device based, at least in part, on presence information, capability information, characteristic information, or a combination thereof of at least one other device within proximity of the at least one device. The collaboration platform also determines an execution of the one or more content items based, at least in part, on one or more execution criteria associated with the one or more content items.

To facilitate discovery of nearby, i.e. proximal, devices, a discovery control signal from a control device may be used to control the discovery, e.g. how or when the discovery is carried out. The devices may send proximity information based on the discovery they have carried out to be used by the control device or the control system. The control device, e.g. a server, may form the discovery control signal based on this proximity information. A proximity graph may be used in determining how the discovery is controlled. Controlling discovery by the devices may e.g. be done to avoid discovery collisions or to save energy.

  • Publication number: 20150208226
Abstract: The invention relates to methods, apparatuses, systems and computer program products for discovery of nearby devices. To facilitate discovery of nearby, i.e. proximal, devices, after receiving a trigger signal (110), that is, a signal related to a user action, proximity of other devices is determined and a proximity fingerprint is formed from this information (120), for example to be stored in a fingerprint database (130). When a change in proximity information of a device is detected, proximity fingerprints are accessed and the fingerprints are searched for in the current proximity information of the user device. In this manner, the user may be alerted or programs (or the system) may be controlled when a stored proximity fingerprint is detected in the current set of nearby devices.

  • Patent number: 7827142
Abstract: The present invention proposes a method for data element information management in a network environment, the network environment comprising a plurality of data element information entities (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d), each keeping a respective record of data element information for a plurality of subscribers, and a request routing entity (3), adapted to route (4, S2) requests to a selected one of said plurality of database entities, the method comprising the steps of transmitting (S1) a data element information update for a specific subscriber to said routing entity (3), selecting, at said request routing entity (3), one (5b) of said plurality of database entities for said specific subscriber, forwarding (S2) said data element information update to said selected database entity (5b), and relaying (S5) said data element information update from said selected database entity (5a) to another database entity (5d) of said plurality of database entities.

  • Patent number: 6961564
Abstract: The present invention proposes a method for enabling a subscriber entity to actively communicate in a communication network, a subscriber entity being identified by at least one assigned subscriber identity (IMSI, MSISDN), said communication network comprising at least one database entity of a first type (5a, 5b) keeping a first record of data of subscriber entities enabled to actively communicate in a communication network, the method comprising the steps of: storing said at least one assigned subscriber identity of at least one subscriber entity not enabled to actively communicate in said communication network in a database entity (4) of a second type, informing (S2a, S2b) said database entity (4) of said second type about a need to enable said at least one not enabled subscriber entity to actively communicate in said communication network, and, upon being informed, transferring (S3) information related to a subscriber entity not enabled, from said database (4) of said second type to a selected one (5b) of

  • Publication number: 20040092261
Abstract: The invention proposes a method for managing subscribers, comprising the steps of receiving (A1) a command list, receiving (A2) information for identifying a plurality of subscribers, and executing (A5) commands included in the command list on the subscriber identified by the subscriber identifying information. Thus, a information of a plurality of subscribers can be handled by a single method call. The invention proposes also a corresponding subscriber management device and a corresponding subscriber management system.

  • Patent number: 4744722
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and an apparatus for the mixing of liquid or gas into pulp stock. In the method the pulp is fed into a centrifugal pump, into which, at the same time, the material to be mixed is fed into the zone between the center and the outer circumference of the rotor wheel. The apparatus is preferably provided with rotor blades consisting of two parts and with feed pins extending into the gap between the said parts.
