  • Patent number: 6622958
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reeling up, in which a paper web or the like is continuously reeled on a reeling core. The formation of the paper reel is controlled at least by means of an actuator (6) of the reeling core (4), advantageously by means of a centre-drive, an actuator (3) of a primary surface drive device (2) of the paper reel, and a nip load (N1) effective between the outer perimeter of a paper reel (5) formed on the reeling core (4) and the outer perimeter of the primary surface drive device (2) of the paper reel, said nip load being produced by means of an actuator (10), a so-called nip load device. According to the invention the torque (Mrs) produced by the actuator (3) of the primary surface drive device (2) of the paper reel is selected to be smaller than the sum (&Sgr;Mi) of the torque values produced by the other actuators driving the paper reel that is being formed.

  • Patent number: 6536704
Abstract: In the method for controlling the structure of a reel, a continuous paper web (W) is reeled around a reel spool (2) to form a reel (R), and one or more variables are measured from the web (W). When a particular, predetermined change occurs in the variable, the lateral oscillation of the web is changed, by means of which the web is guided to different locations in the reel (R) in the axial direction of the reel spool (2). The change can be implemented by starting the oscillation or by changing the oscillation in progress. The change can be implemented on the basis of the changes in the transverse profile of the web (W).

  • Patent number: 6494399
Abstract: In the method for controlling reeling in a reel-up of a paper web, a paper web (W) is guided via a rotating reeling cylinder (1) around a reel spoil (2) into a reel (R) in such a way that the paper web (W) is passed onto the reel via a nip (N) between the reeling cylinder (1) and the reel (R). The paper web (W) running onto the reel is subjected to a load by means of actuators of the reel-up, which load affects the structure of the reel and is controlled by means of measured variables determined during the reeling process. A reel density is used as the measured variable, the reel density being determined during the reeling process continuously or at intervals, wherein it is possible to implement a closed control loop.

  • Patent number: 6402081
Abstract: In the method for stopping a machine reel (R) in the final stage of reeling a web (W), the web (W) is cut when the machine reel (R) has become full, the web (W) is possibly guided on a new reeling shaft (2), and the rotation of the machine reel (R) detached from the nip contact with a reeling cylinder (1) is stopped by means of braking forces which are exerted both on the reeling shaft (2) of the full machine reel (R) and on the surface of the machine reel (R). The braking powers which are exerted on the reeling shaft (2) of the machine reel (R) and on the surface of the machine reel (R) and which stop the machine reel (R) are distributed in the ratio (S) of 1:1 . . . 100:1. The ratio can be changed during the deceleration of the machine reel.
