Abstract: There is provided a resealable container for consumer articles comprising a package of consumer articles, the package having an access opening through which consumer articles can be removed; and a resealable panel covering the access opening of the package and extending beyond the periphery of the access opening of the package. The package is formed by folding a blank of flexible sheet material having a thickness around a group of consumer articles such that a first end portion of the blank overlaps a second end portion of the blank. An area of a surface of the first end portion of the blank is sealed to an area of a surface of the second end portion of the blank. One of the first and second end portions comprises non-printed indicia at a predetermined location relative to an edge of the end portion.

Abstract: Methods include cutting an inner liner (30) that has an outer surface and an inner surface to form an opening (54) of an inner package. First, an insert (60) is applied to the outer surface of the inner liner. Thereafter, a resealable label (45) is applied over both a portion of the insert and a portion of the outer surface of the inner liner. The inner surface of the resealable label has a sealing area (46) and a non-sealing area (47) and only the non-sealing area is disposed on the insert. A bundle of consumer goods is formed by wrapping the consumer goods with the inner liner. A container (10) is formed around the bundle of consumer goods so that the insert is positioned between the inner liner and the container. Containers formed using such methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A container comprises a housing 12 that comprises a box 14 and a lid 20 that is hingedly attached to the box. The lid 20 comprises a front wall 24 that has an inner surface 22, an outer surface 26 and a bottom edge. The box comprises a front wall 16 that has an upper edge 21 and an access region 62. At least some portion of the upper edge 21 of the box is formed by at least some portion of the access region 62. The container also comprises an inner package 30 disposed at least partially within the housing and at least partially defining an interior volume for housing consumer goods. The inner package 30 comprises a first layer 40 and a second layer 50. The first layer 40 comprises a flap 44 which is attached to the inner surface of the lid and is configured to be releasably attached to a sealing region 72 of the second layer 50 to open and close the inner package by opening and closing the lid of the container.

Abstract: The package includes a sheet material with a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to the second end to form a sealing flap, the sealing flap sealing the package along at least a transversal edge of the sheet material, longitudinal edges of the sheet material being connected to each other. The sealing flap defines an opening cut, the opening cut being arranged in a sealed portion of the package. A first part of the sheet material forms a first package face, the sealing flap being connected to the first package face.

Abstract: Packaging materials are configured such that when sealed to define an interior volume of a package the packaging material has an inner surface facing the interior volume and an outer surface facing away from the interior volume. Between the inner surface and the outer surface, the packagings contain moisture controlling material. The permeability of moisture from the outer surface to the moisture controlling material is less than the permeability of moisture from the inner surface to the moisture controlling material to provide selective moisture transfer between the moisture controlling material and the interior volume of a sealed package formed, at least in part, from the packaging material. The nature of the packaging material and the moisture controlling material can be tuned to control the relative humidity within the sealed inner volume.

Abstract: A container for consumer articles comprises a box portion, a lid and an inner frame within the box portion. The inner frame comprises an inner frame front wall; first and second inner frame side walls each depending along an inner frame fold line from the inner frame front wall; a first and a second cut lines in the first and second inner frame side walls. Each cut line intersects a respective inner frame fold line at upper and lower intersection points. The cut lines define a pair of locking tabs, each of which extends outwardly from the inner frame towards a respective side wall of the container and past an edge formed by the inner frame front wall with a respective inner frame side wall, and interacting with the lid portion of the container when the lid portion is between the open position and the closed position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a container (70) for consumer goods comprising a housing comprising a front housing wall (66), a back housing wall, two side housing walls (67), a bottom housing wall, and a housing opening. The container (70) further comprises an inner bundle (10) for receiving consumer goods and positioned within the housing, the inner bundle (10) comprising an inner bundle opening. The container (70) also comprises a label (30) comprising a cover panel (42) covering the inner bundle opening and a label flap (40), wherein the label flap (40) depends via a fold line (38) from the cover panel (42) and overlies at least part of the cover panel (42). The front housing wall (66) overlies the label fold line (38) and the inner bundle (10) underlies the label fold line (38). An edge of the label cover panel (42) extends beyond an edge of the inner bundle opening to define an edge portion of the label cover panel (42).
