Abstract: A shower head having a plurality of nozzles capable of attachment to a flexible shower arm. The shower head has a unique nozzle construction that allows for the manipulation of an external flexible nozzle to remove mineral deposits and has an internal, rigid nozzle structure for efficiently forming an aesthetically pleasing water stream. The shower head may have two available flow configurations which are selectable by a valve.

Abstract: Surgical articles, implants and components suitable creating composite slings are described. Novel procedures for assembling and utilizing composite slings are also detailed.

Abstract: A minimally invasive surgical instrument for placing an implantable article about a tubular tissue structure is disclosed. The surgical instrument is particularly useful for treating urological disorders such as incontinence. Surgical methods using the novel instrument are also described.

Abstract: A surgical instrument for suturing soft tissue is disclosed. The surgical instrument is capable of probing tissue, and preferably provides tactile feedback concerning the condition of the tissue. The instrument can then be used to pass and retrieve a suture without the need for an additional suture retrieval tool.

Abstract: A hand piece assembly for an oral irrigator having a pressure control valve assembly, a stop valve, and a housing. The pressure control valve assembly has a valve body having an intermediate section having a substantially cylindrical bore therethrough. A valve gate having a cylindrical portion with an orifice bored therethrough has a control arm coupled to a guide portion for rotation within the valve body. A slide control is positioned on the housing and is coupled to guide portion of the valve gate, so that as the slide control moves linearly along a portion of the housing, the cylindrical portion of the valve gate correspondingly rotates within the bore of the valve body to adjust the pressure or flow rate of the fluid passing through the pressure control valve assembly.
