  • Publication number: 20240095038
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a technique to decompose 64-bit per-lane virtual addresses to access a plurality of data elements on behalf of a multi-lane parallel processing execution resource of a graphics or compute accelerator. The 64-bit per-lane addresses are decomposed into a base address and a plurality of per-lane offsets for transmission to memory access circuitry. The memory access circuitry then combines the base address and the per-lane offsets to reconstruct the per-lane addresses.

  • Publication number: 20240086064
Abstract: Embodiments described herein enable the offload of address calculations required to access a data element within an array of data elements from primary compute resources of a graphics processor to the memory access circuitry of the graphics processor. The memory access circuitry is configured to receive a message to access a data element of an array of data elements in the memory, the message to include an index of the data element in the array of data elements, calculate a byte address for the data element based in part on the index of the data element in the array of data elements, and submit a memory access request to the memory to access the data element at the byte address.

  • Publication number: 20220064376
Abstract: The present disclosure provides fibers and filaments formed from polyamide polymers polymerized with dual termination of the amino and carboxyl end-groups, referred to herein as dual-terminated polyamides, or dual terminated PA. In one embodiment, the dual-terminated polyamide is considered “highly terminated” and is useful in producing stain resistant textiles such as carpet fibers, for example.

  • Patent number: 10914754
Abstract: A system senses, analyzes, and reports a collision event experienced by a person or object. A sensor module records angular velocities over time and a processor analyzes the sensed velocities, calculates properties of angular velocities, such as jerk and jolt, compares these properties with threshold values selected to correlate to predicted severities of injury to the person or object, and transmits information regarding these properties to a communication device controlled by user-designated persons. Group tracking and communication devices ar used by monitors to manage multiple persons equipped with sensor modules. The sensor modules and group tracking and communication devices are designed to be portable, attachable, and detachable so that they can be attached to different types of gear used by persons engaging in different activities.

  • Publication number: 20180244918
Abstract: Polyamide base resins with improved crystallization dynamics for the production of reinforced polyamide compositions having improved surface, shrink, warpage and mechanical properties such as toughness. The polyamide base resins are copolymers of polyamide 6 and polyamide 66, formed of ratios that are tailored to reduce the crystallization rate and final crystallization extent when used in melt processing to produce glass filled articles. The copolymers demonstrate improved polyamide morphology dynamics that in turn impart improved final properties in reinforced molded articles, such as improved surface finish, improved toughness/impact resistance, reduced warpage, and more symmetrical shrinkage properties.

  • Publication number: 20150228174
Abstract: A survival backpack has an airbag and emergency notification system. Upon triggering of the airbag, the system is activated and configured to connect with a third party communication device either immediately or upon expiration of a countdown sequence. The system may emit an audible alert to prompt the user to cancel the connection if rescue is not needed. When connected, the system may transmit a message or other information to another which may help in recovering or assisting the user of the backpack. The system may provide location information, which allows the third party communication device to dispatch emergency responders, and may enable two-way communication with local or remote rescuers.
