  • Patent number: 9475514
Abstract: Embodiments of medical carts and associated apparatuses and methods are disclosed herein. A medical cart configured in accordance with one embodiment includes a cart base assembly, a work platform, and a height adjustment assembly carrying the work platform above the cart base assembly. The cart base assembly includes an upper portion and a touch-sensitive foot panel generally below the upper portion. The touch-sensitive foot panel includes a resilient cover having a contact surface and a contact switch underlying the resilient cover. The contact switch is operably coupled to the height adjustment assembly, and the contact switch is configured to detect for operator foot contact at the contact surface and to raise or lower the work platform via the height adjustment assembly when the operator foot contact is detected.

  • Patent number: 7540933
Abstract: A method and device for applying sheet material, such as wallpaper, to a substrate. The applicator is bi-positionable, having a first position where the sheet material is spaced apart from the substrate and a second position where the sheet material contacts the substrate. Additionally or alternatively, the applicator may be provided with a control bar. In the first position, the control bar contacts a portion of the sheet material such as its free end. This minimizes the chance of the sheet material prematurely contacting the substrate. In the second position, the sheet material is disengaged from the control bar for application to the substrate. The applicator and sheet material may be provided together in a kit.

  • Patent number: 5755182
Abstract: An improved litter box assembly includes two litter boxes with one box nested within another. Each box has a floor with multiple openings and a plate disposed under the floor. Each plate is slidably attached to the floor of the respective box and also has multiple openings. The plate is slidable between a first position in which the openings in the floor and the openings in the plate correspond and a second position in which the openings in the floor are blocked by the plate. The boxes are identical and interchangeable. When nested, the boxes are reversed so that each plate, in sliding from the first position to the second position, slides in the opposite direction of the other plate in sliding from the first position to the second position. When the boxes are reversibly nested, a litter receiving space is created between the floors of the two boxes. In operation, when soiled litter in a upper box is to be removed, the plate of the upper box is moved from the first position to the second position.
