Abstract: The invention relates to an edge protector, method and fitted article, and in particular to an edge protector for use on generally flat faced, panel-like products such as doors, worktops, table-tops and the like. There is disclosed an edge protector (10) having a base (14), two opposed sides (16), each side including a leg (20) and an arm (22), the legs and arms comprising corrugated paper joined to plain paper, characterised in that the arms (22) extend between the legs (20), and in that the plain paper on tan arm faces plain paper on the other arm and in that plain paper on a leg faces away from plain paper on the other leg. There is further disclosed such edge protector wherein the legs and arms are of paper having fluting on one face and include resilient biassing means (24) acting to urge parts of the respective sides towards each other. There is also disclosed a method for making such an edge protector and an edge protector fitted therewith.

Abstract: The invention teaches a hinged clip (10) comprising two arms (22), each arm having a free end (34) and an extension forming the other end, resilient bias means urging the free ends together, the extensions being movable towards one another against the force of the resilient bias means to separate the said free ends characterised in that the resilient bias means is non-removably secured to each arm. An edge protector for an article (14) having sides (16) joined by an edge (12) is also taught, as is the method of manufacture and use.

Abstract: This invention relates to a product packaging material and method, and in particular to a product packaging material (27) formed from a length of rolled corrugated paper (20) and a method of manufacture therefor. There is provided a packaging material comprising corrugated paper (20), the corrugated paper including non-sinusoidal corrugations (16, 18, 72). There is also provided a method of making a packaging material of multi-layer corrugated paper (27) including the steps of forming corrugated paper (20) having a sheet with sinusoidal corrugations (42), and compressing the sheet to destroy the sinusoidal form of at least some of the corrugations.
