Abstract: A laterally adjustable hinge system for use on an insulated door of a commercial refrigerator or freezer including a hinge base and associated position adjustable strap relative to the door. The lateral adjustment is accomplished by rotational movement of an eccentric cam located in an adjustment bracket housed within the hinge strap attached directly to the door. The hinge strap is adjustably attached to the adjustment bracket and capable of lateral relational motion controlled by the position of the cam. Cam rotation is controlled by an adjustment bolt extending outward and through the hinge strap protected by a removable cover with a maximum lateral adjustment indicator in the form of a flat portion on the perimeter of the cam such that contact with the sidewall of the cam aperture by the cam flat indicates maximum lateral adjustment in the desired direction has been reached.

Abstract: A safety latch release apparatus for an institutional walk-in refrigerator or freezer cabinet doors provided with a bushing inserted into the mounting plate and surrounding the plunger rod for substantially blocking the internal cabinet air from flowing into the latch release pathway through the door to the external latch release assembly. The bushing also provides enhanced support and positional guidance to maintain the plunger rod centered along the annular opening of the mounting plate and bushing so that the rod is properly operationally aligned with the rear side of the handle latch assembly.

Fastening screws located in clearance openings in the hinge blade and threadedly coupled to a door mounting plate adapted to be securely attached to the insulated door for slidably or securely coupling the hinge blade to the door mounting plate, and a micro adjust screw having a threaded shaft located in the U shaped clearance opening and threadedly coupled to the door mounting plate, wherein turning the micro adjust screw slides the door mounting plate horizontally along the hinge blade to provide door lift or rotation to compensate for frame or mounting misalignment.
