Abstract: A bar gripping assembly is configured to join a bar to a marine accessory on a marine craft. The bar gripping assembly has a single piece housing having an upper housing portion and a lower housing portion. A marine accessory is formed as part of the upper housing portion. A first wall slot and a second wall slot are arranged through the lower housing portion. A hollow portion adjacent to a weakened wall on the lower housing portion that has a lower portion opening and an upper portion. A strap is arranged through the first wall slot, the second wall slot, and around the lower portion opening. The strap compresses the lower housing portion against the bar to join the marine accessory to the marine craft.

Abstract: The present invention sets out to provide an improved way to retain an amount of wound fishing line and the loose end of the wound fishing line to the spool that the fishing line is wound upon. The fishing line retention device comprising of a main circular band having an internal wall, an outer wall and at least one grip tab. The fishing line retention device accurately and tightly holds pressure on the loose end of the fishing line against the spool. The fishing line retention device protects the fishing line from harmful environmental conditions such as wind, water, dirt, sharp objects and UV light.

Abstract: In a process for deposition of material onto a substrate, for example, the deposition of metals or dielectrics onto a semiconductor laser, the material is deposited by providing a colloidal suspension of the material and directly writing the suspension onto the substrate surface by ink jet printing techniques. This procedure minimizes the handling requirements of the substrate during the deposition process and also minimizes the exchange of energy between the material to be deposited and the substrate at the interface. The deposited material is then resolved into a desired pattern, preferably by subjecting the deposit to a laser annealing step. The laser annealing step provides high resolution of the resultant pattern while minimizing the overall thermal load of the substrate and permitting precise control of interface chemistry and interdiffusion between the substrate and the deposit.
