  • Patent number: 8365819
Abstract: Well bore fluid redistribution methods to isolate fluids produced in well bores from different geologic sections on either side of an apparatus and redistribute such fluids produced in well bores between different geologic sections to reduce surface discharge of fluids while delivering gas to a well outlet.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 19, 2010
Date of Patent: February 5, 2013
    Assignee: Big Cat Energy Corporation
Inventors: Raymond P. Murphy, Timothy G. Barritt, Richard G. Stockdale
  • Patent number: 8196651
Abstract: Well bore fluid redistribution apparatuses which can be inserted into a well bore to isolate fluids produced in well bores from different geologic sections on either side of the apparatuses. Operation of the well bore fluid redistribution apparatuses can redistribute fluids produced in well bores between different geologic sections to reduce surface discharge of fluids.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 5, 2008
Date of Patent: June 12, 2012
    Assignee: Big Cat Energy Corporation
Inventors: Raymond P. Murphy, Timothy G. Barritt, Richard G. Stockdale
  • Patent number: 8056626
Abstract: Generally, devices and methods of redistribution of fluids produced in well bore environments. Specifically, well bore fluid redistribution apparatuses which can isolate and redistribute fluids produced in well bores between geologic sections to reduce surface discharge of fluids.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 10, 2008
Date of Patent: November 15, 2011
    Assignee: Big Cat Energy Corporation
Inventors: Raymond P. Murphy, Timothy G. Barritt, Richard G. Stockdale
  • Publication number: 20110067874
Abstract: Redistribution of fluids present in well bore environments is disclosed. In some embodiments, the invention may be the redistribution of water produced in a coal bed methane well. The redistribution of water from one aquifer (27) to another aquifer in accordance with the present invention is also disclosed. Furthermore, the injection of a reservoir formation (39) with water, and in some embodiments as a flood of the reservoir formation, in accordance with the present invention is also disclosed. Each of the embodiments of the present invention is disclosed as methods and processes as well as one or more device or apparatus. Such processes and tools may avoid the requirement for surface discharge of water produced in a well bore and may minimize the regulatory costs associated with such water handling. Methods of compliance, water disposal, aquifer recharge, transfer of water from one aquifer to another, and obtaining a permit are also disclosed.
    Type: Application
