Abstract: A securing apparatus includes a main body that defines a cavity sized to receive a portion of an object, such as a box's corner. The securing apparatus includes at least one anchor extending from the main body that is configured to engage with the corner portion of the object such that the securing apparatus may be removably coupled thereto. The main body of the securing apparatus may include eyelets configured to receive a length of filament such that multiple objects may be secured to one another during packaging and shipping. Additionally, the securing apparatus may also include a projecting finger that is configured to retain a length of filament that may be used to attach the object more securely to a pallet or other structure for shipping.

Abstract: A device includes a housing having an entry opening for receiving a length of material, an applicator for applying a liquid to the length of material, a plurality of forming rollers for folding the length of material into a strap-like form, and a motor for driving at least one of the forming rollers. In one aspect, the plurality of forming rollers includes at least one primary forming roller for inducing at least one fold in a portion of the material, at least one secondary forming roller, and at least one tertiary forming roller for compressing the folded material against itself into a strap-like form for use in packaging applications.

Abstract: A securing apparatus configured to assist in securing objects to a pallet during packaging and shipping includes a main body having first and second wall portions spaced from one another to define a channel, and a hook extending from the main body via a neck portion. At least one of the first and second wall portions includes an anchor for engaging and being embedded in a pallet. A fastener may be received through an aperture of the main body to releasably attach the securing apparatus to a pallet, and the anchor may be at least partially embedded in the pallet. So configured, a filament may be looped about the hook to assist in securing objects to the pallet in a first securing configuration, and another filament may be received in the channel to assist in securing objects to the pallet in a second securing configuration.

Abstract: A packaging material holder comprising a bent shaft including a first arm, a base portion, and a second arm, and a plurality of magnets attached to the second arm is provided. The first arm includes an end which permits a roll of packaging material having an opening larger than a diameter of the end of the first arm to be placed over the end of the first arm and contact the base portion. The plurality of magnets magnetically couple to a magnetic surface and support a mass of the packaging material holder and a mass of the roll of packaging material.

The frame includes a plurality of packaging material mounts that are configured to dispense such packaging material, and a gathering attachment including an aperture may be removably coupled to the wrapping apparatus proximate at least one of the packaging material mounts to gather the packaging material into a string for wrapping around the one or more objects. Free ends of the packaging material and the string may be secured at or near one or more objects to be wrapped, and the frame may be rotated to cause the packaging material to unwind and wrap the objects simultaneously with both the string and other packaging material.

Abstract: A stretch film dispensing apparatus gathers the stretch film into a flattened strap for use in securing an object to a pallet for shipping. The stretch film can be converted into a string or rope by passing it through one or more of a hook, funnel, apparatus, set of gears, or the like to effect stretching and/or twisting of the film into a string or rope. The string or rope is then pressed between two rollers biased together with sufficient force to flatten the string or rope into a flattened strap that maintains its structural integrity to be used as a replacement for plastic or metallic strapping.

Abstract: A stretch wrap applicator includes one or more cutting members arranged to engage the stretch wrap to cut it into strips as it is dispensed from the roll. The strips are then gathered and stretched into strings that are wrapped around the object. A roller is biased toward the stretch wrap roll to ensure an even flow of stretch film from the roll and more consistent tension on the film dispensed from the roll. The roller includes a groove. A cutting member is disposed to rest in the groove such that stretch film passes over and around the roller as it is dispensed from the roll and then engages the cutting member in the grove before the stretch film separates from the roller.

Abstract: A clamping device is mounted to the pusher tensioner to clamp a portion of strapping to be applied to a load during tensioning of an opposite end of the strapping. In one example, the clamping device includes a clamping plate mounted to define a clamping space between the clamping plate and a portion of the pusher tensioner. A metal seal having a pusher sealer configuration with serrations on inner surfaces of the metal seal can be used with the tool to secure plastic strapping.

The clasp or clamping device readily secures one end of the string and allows for tightening of the string through pulling a second end of the string through a second portion of the clasp or clamping device. The second end of the string can be tied off or secured on the second portion of the clasp or claiming device. The clasp or clamping device further includes at least two protrusions extending from one of the first end and the second end, the at least two protrusions defining a space there-between. The space between the at least two protrusions includes a narrow portion to impede slippage of the string.

A second jaw unit is located on a second side of the crimper and configured to close a long flange of the metal seal. A first handle of the pair of handles is located on the first side of the metal seal crimper, and a second handle is located on the second side of the metal seal crimper. An indicator located on at least one of the first and second handles is configured to distinguish the handles to facilitate proper alignment of the metal seal within the crimper.
