Abstract: A storage chest and method for drying bath tub toys is disclosed. The chest includes a removable perforated drying basket nested inside the chest. The basket includes a peripheral flange that supports the basket in a position inside the chest suitably spaced from the side walls and from the base to accommodate sanitary drying of toys. The basket flange seats on a shoulder flange molded integrally with the chest and may be snugly retained by a press-fit bead molded integrally with a lid. Ventilation ports provided in the side walls and lid accommodate drying air circulation and may serve also as pouring spouts and as hand grips.
