Patent number: 11984148Abstract: The address of victim rows may be determined based on rows that are accessed in a memory. The victim addresses may be stored and associated with a count for every time a victim row is “victimized.” When the count for a victim row reaches a threshold, the victim row may be refreshed to preserve data stored in the row. After the victim row has been refreshed, the count may be reset. When a victim row is accessed, the count may also be reset. The counts may be adjusted for closer victim rows (e.g., +/?1) at a faster rate than counts for more distant victim rows (e.g., +/?2). This may cause closer victim rows to be refreshed at a higher rate than more distant victim rows.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2021Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: Micron Technology, Inc.Inventors: Daniel B. Penney, Jason M. Brown, Nathaniel J. Meier, Timothy B. Cowles, Jiyun Li

Patent number: 11954022Abstract: Provided are a storage device, system, and method for throttling host writes in a host buffer to a storage device. The storage device is coupled to a host system having a host buffer that includes reads and writes to pages of the storage device. Garbage collection consolidates valid data from pages in the storage device to fewer pages. A determination is made as to whether a processing measurement at the storage device satisfies a threshold. A timer value is set to a positive value in response to determining that the processing measurement satisfies the threshold. The timer is started to run for the timer value. Writes from the host buffer are blocked while the timer is running. Writes remain in the host buffer while the timer is running. A write is accepted from the host buffer to process in response to expiration of the timer.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2022Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Matthew S. Patent number: 11200414Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for a data capture application of a computing device that receives image data for an image of a document and uses the image data to capture content on the document while minimizing glare at the document. The data capture application receives user input for positioning an image token provided for display to a user of the data capture application. Positioning the image token causes adjustment of an attribute value of the image data. In response to receiving the user input the data capture application determines whether the attribute value of the image data satisfies a predefined attribute value. Based on the attribute value satisfying the predefined attribute value, the data capture application generates a composite image of the document using the image data received by the data capture application.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2018Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: Idemia Identity & Security USA LLCInventors: Timothy J. Patent number: 10685250Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for liveness detection are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of providing, for display on a screen to a user, a graphical item that travels along a path. The actions further include tracking a movement of an eye of the user while the graphical item travels along the path on the screen. The actions further include comparing the movement of the eye of the user to the path traveled by the graphical item. The actions further include generating an eye correlation score that reflects a correlation between the movement of the eye of the user and the path traveled by the graphical item. The actions further include determining whether the eye correlation score satisfies an eye liveness threshold score. The actions further include determining whether the user is a live person.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2017Date of Patent: June 16, 2020Assignee: MorphoTrust USA, LLCInventor: Timothy J. Brown
