  • Patent number: 6035599
Abstract: A multi-coursed stackable block structure having a system for forming a corner. The corner is formed by a two pieced beveled corner unit system to form a miter joint. The beveled corner units are stacked on top of one another to form the corner. A pin and aperture system may be used to reinforce and strengthen the two pieced mitered corner unit system in the wall construction. Additionally, the corner system provides for alternating the length of the corner units such that there is a substantial overlap between the corner units and standard wall block units to maintain the structural integrity of the corner and to maintain a strong structural relationship between the corner the surrounding block units. The corner system also allows for the maintenance of a running half bond in the structure to create a more stable and better visually appearing corner and wall construction.
