  • Publication number: 20150022986
Abstract: A circuit assembly (1800) includes a first circuit substrate (1200) defining a first major face (1201) and a second circuit substrate (1500) defining a second major face (1502). A plurality of electrical components (1203,1204,1205) can be disposed on one or more of the first major face or the second major face. One or more substrate bridging members (1301,1302,1303,1304) are disposed between the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate. Each substrate bridging member can define a unitary structure having a first end bonded to the first major face and a second end bonded to the second major face to bridge the first circuit substrate and the second circuit substrate.

  • Publication number: 20140321033
Abstract: A mobile electronic device with an enhanced battery pack construction is shown. The mobile electronic device (10) includes: a housing (12) including a front housing (14) and a rear housing (16) having a reservoir area (18); a user interface (20) connected to the front housing (14); and a battery pack (22) including a planar inwardly facing surface (24) and a nonplanar outwardly facing surface (26), the nonplanar outwardly facing surface (26) being substantially complementarily configured to be received in the reservoir area (18) of the rear housing (16). Advantageously, this construction helps to provide a uniquely shaped mobile electronic device with enhanced ergonomics, adapted to be comfortably held in a user's hand and can conform to a user's palm. Advantageously, this construction is adapted to accommodating expansion and contraction of the battery pack (22), when it comprises a Lithium Ion Polymer, in one embodiment.

  • Publication number: 20140104767
Abstract: An inline tray assembly (300) for receiving multiple data cards is shown. The tray assembly (300) can include: an inline tray assembly (300) including a tray module (302) configured to receive multiple different data cards and a tray receptacle (304). The tray module (302) has a first data card receiving cavity (306) for receiving a first data card (308) and a second data card receiving cavity (310) for receiving a second data card (312). The first and the second data card receiving cavities (306) and (310) are shown aligned along an x-axis, in compass (314). The tray receptacle (304) has an opening (316) or interface configured to receive the tray module (302). Advantageously, this structure provides an improved assembly capable of accepting two or more data cards in a small area and minimizes the possibility of damage to the data cards. Thus, a user can easily insert and place data cards in a device.

  • Publication number: 20140062799
Abstract: A wireless communication device and method (600) with enhanced antenna farm, is disclosed. The method (600) comprises: providing (610) a double molded rear housing including a first shot module including an antenna farm located on an interior shell surface and a second shot module; providing (620) a front housing including a user interface configured to allow a user to perform a desired function; and locating (630) a controller between the front and the rear housing, the controller configured to control the operations of a wireless communication device. Advantageously, the method provides a common platform that is universal and easily customizable for any region or desired feature set. Advantageously, the method contributes to allowing an antenna designer enhanced freedom to design an antenna farm, by using the interior shell surface (20) to place antennas.
