  • Publication number: 20130303434
Abstract: A method of formulating a high performance fragrance formulation by selecting an effective amount of fragrance ingredients selected from the group consisting of aroma chemicals and essential oils defined according to the following algorithm: 7.393 * P V + ? ? ? V + ? * A V = 1 wherein P is equal to molecular polarizability, V is equal to molecular volume, A is equal to the molecular surface area. ? is a constant falling within the range from about 0.0025 ??3 to about 0.0055 ??3 and ? is a constant falling in the range of from about ?0.55 ? to about ?1.0 ? and the pair result in the above equality.

  • Publication number: 20030109048
Abstract: A process and electronic data processing software program for the creation of a flavor or fragrance formulation or the use of a fragrance or flavor ingredient in a fragrance or flavor formulation used in a perfume composition, perfumed article, cologne, foodstuff, beverage, and oral care products is disclosed. The process employs a laser light beam transmitter fitted with a light scattering means attached to a titration means. The titration means consists of two burettes: (a) a “sample” burette and (b) a “titrant” burette. The “sample” burette holds one or more fragrance or flavor ingredients or a fragrance or flavor formulation. The “titrant” burette holds a solvent such as water.
